I'm currently drinking a Pere Magloire from Waitrose, but if Duke can recommend something better I'd be interested too.

Treated myself to one of these at Xmas a couple of years ago. Well worth the money IMHO as it was rather special.Deegee wrote:I'm currently drinking a Pere Magloire from Waitrose, but if Duke can recommend something better I'd be interested too.

That looks very nice, maybe I’ll treat myself to one of those this Christmas, much nicer than brandy after dinner I’ve found.

I'm going to give that a try cheers Duke
If people want a decent cognac I'm on my 3rd bottle of this, it's superb and highly recommended

Re: What are you drinking?
If only Blade, I stopped drinking Cognac when it gave me awful heartburn 3-4 times on the trot. We still keep it in the house, but only for mixing or cooking, I wouldn’t waste a glass of your good stuff on either of those uses.
Edit, I’ve just noticed that wine merchant is the one I buy my Martini Gin from, it’s their own brand and the best I’ve tasted in a dry martini.

G&T, Merlot with lunch and a chilled white port with the cheese, oh and wetted my newest Grandson’s head with a toast when we had the news during lunch. Am a happy Grandad x 2 this evening!

Havana 7yr old from one of my Dads old short glasses, one of the very dated but strangely stylish Ravenhead Apollo glasses that look like they’re from Space 1999 or The Sweeney.
P.S. the Rum is excellent. Cheers Dad.

Bottle of Rioja with lunch and an Espresso with an Amaretto chaser as a digestif. Mmm nice.
