You can't say you are English anymore as this is largely received as being hostile and somehow racist.

This post was brought to you by The Daily Mail and Britain First.

That's bollocks IMO. No one complains if you say you're English. It's a myth, fake news used by racists who tell you that Peppa Pig, Christmas and bacon sandwiches offend people and are banned on Facebook.

I gave my bike a 2 hour cleaning session and detail. The steel rear sprocket is looking a bit sorry for itself though. I don't really want to change it until I replace the chain and sprocket set so I'll get the back wheel off and tart it up a bit.

Going home.

Has enough of this swing, got absolutely flogged. Every day was physically and mentally taxing. Definitely got their money's worth the last 3 weeks.

That reminded me of when I was in the Army and a couple hundred of us did a charity bicycle ride to Waterloo from Central London. We just got off the ferry in Calais and we're cycling to the first RV just outside Calais ready to start the French legs of the ride. There was a French guy that came flying past the procession and he was hanging out of his car window shouting "Fu*king...(pauses to think of insult)...rosbeefs!" In the most Monty Python accent you can imagine. Makes me laugh thinking about it.

I had to Google 'Rosbeef'......new one on me.

I remember asking some bloke on a construction site where he was from and he said...."Me, I am Hungary!!"

I offered him some french fries. He wasn't impressed.

I've got a meeting with the region head today. I think my brutally honest half year appraisal wasn't very well received.

I trust you've identified what you would hope to achieve as a result of the meeting, & planned your ( tactic / arguments ) in order to turn the conversations to achieve that.?

Yes and yes.

I'm an old war horse when it comes to these meeting so I know how them play out. I strongly suspect that my boss has already given his version of events. Seeing as he's not one who can accept criticism I'm going to be blamed for his short comings. I've got the evidence to rebut that.
