I wont be saying much about it as i know the UK is a week or two behind the French curve. I want us all out on our bikes. (bear)

My worry is the public will go bananas with contact and a second wave starts. I can see another lockdown if that happens. Human nature isnt generally one for discipline sadly.

I wont be going to see anyone except a few select friends - I'll probably do that outside too.

Unfortunately I think your right about people going bananas.

Hopefully all governments are putting that into their phased exit plans.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if we have another period of lockdown after this current one ends

Listened to the radio at lunchtime talking to some experts.

He was fairly sure the vaccine produced at Oxford would work. It's been tested on monkeys and works on themand they have used technology worked in developing the Ebola vaccines as its similar. Was a very interesting to listen to as he explained it in layman's language.

I've heard a similar interview and was moderately hopeful too regarding vaccine.

As for a 2nd spike... I just hope they keep a lock down of some description going for a few months. It'll all be lifted by Christmas so may as well keep it going till not long before then to make sure a 2nd spike is as unlikely as possible

A conversation tonight got me thinking and wondering. I do wonder how long the virus has been active for, and had it travelled before it became widely recognised.

One of the guys I was working with said he and most of the people he was working with at the time where really ill over Christmas with COVID-19 symptoms. I was also really ill. It's not unusual for me to get s cold over Christmas as it's the only time if the year I really stop, but this was different it really floored me. I was in bed for a couple days with a temperature, hot and cold sweats, and a bit of a cough. He was saying the he and is with colleagues had virtually the same symptoms.

I had the same. I finished work on Christmas eve and I was in bed and out of it straight away. Sore throat for 3 days and a cough, absolutely terrible on Day 2 and 3 then it eased quite quick but took 3 weeks to go fully.

My Wife had it a day after me and on her 3rd day it knocked her for six. It took her 3 weeks to get over the worst of it and then some.

I was only talking about this with my mum the other day, we had the same issues, I cut short my Christmas visit due to a number over there who were coughing and flu like symptons, needless to say a week later I was suffering the same! and did not manage to escape it.

Seems very strange, i would be very surprised if this was not linked in some way to that!

So last night I was thinking, been watching alot of news, more than normal, so there is my first mistake, lol, however it not just the local news but Euro-new has got very interesting, as they do cover Europe and the world, much better than all the others.

I have also noticed the back stabbing and finger pointing has escalated and all the politician's are now using this to score points against each other rather than trying to work together to deal with this. However as we know these slimy lot will use troubled waters to work on agenda's while we are all looking the other way, UK and European MP, and MEP's. I know the economy is suffering and will suffer even more, but I see business's who were suffering, using this to cull their ranks, business's changing their T&C's - example Easy Jet changed theirs days after we know what was going on, and said no refunds its all vouchers, i see that many airlines are doing this now, I see local authorities, again in the UK & Europe to use this as an opportunity, changing road systems, speeds, making even more places pedestrian, oh but if we do that we need to increase pavement sizes, so they are doing that and losing road ways !!!! I dont know if I am just cranky from a crap nights sleep, but i really do smell conspiracy on a global level here!!!!

All that said there are some great humans on this planet, but we really do have a section of society (globally) who i just dont understand how their minds work and tick !!

Only last night I caught a bit of news about the amount of speeders on the roads due to them being less busy!!! not just a few but an epidemic! my facebook news feeds and videos of the muppets on the north circular, doing a yank types mass ride... mainly scoots, and twats on bigger sports bikes in shorts and T's --- what does that tell you... i am making an assumption, as i dont know for a fact, I would suggest most of these are stolen bikes anyway, but what the feck is wrong with people !!! I really do see a major shift happening as to how we conduct ourselves going forward on a global level.

Anyway I think I needed to get that off my chest, if you read my rant, sorry !! Its now Wednesday morning, so I will finish by wishing you a happy day, the sun has just come out so that helps, ah yes it could be due to the grey gloomy day yesterday! so (party) people enjoy your day

I share your cynical views, Frankie, I just choose to ignore them because what good will it do other than make me frustrated, angry and get me down again.

Maybe this was WW3. Maybe this is the spark that lights the fire of WW3. Maybe those in power actually care about the environment so organised a way to shut everything down to help the world recover (that's a nice thought isn't it).

Maybe this is everything we're being told.. just some effing weirdos who run sick markets causing a global pandemic.

Viruses have always crossed species and the species adapt or die accordingly. Its nothing new and will always happen til the end of time.

The radio interview i listened to yesterday said that if viruses did NOT cross species we would still be a single cell organism as the bottom of the ocean.
