I'm absolutely devastated, very sad day today. After 7 years of medical training and hard work, a very good friend of mine has been struck off after one minor indiscretion. He slept with one of his patients (they were good friends) and has been banned from the profession he loves. Great lose and a total waste of time, effort, training and money. A genuinely nice guy and a brilliant vet.

Its a start.

It will be a long time before things are back to normal I suspect. I can't see there being many people wanting to fly until there is a vaccine.

Its the little thoughtful things that count..

Just had a hand delivered envelope from the local Mayor with two washable face masks and a note with contact details in case of issues / advice etc and if anyone needs help if they are struggling.

We are the furthest corner of the area our local Mayor serves - no one in the area lives further away and for those who haven't been to our house it's very difficult to find. We don't even have our rubbish collected as we are well off the road.

We feel a bit cared for today. (bear) :)

I am seeing the general public around here getting a bit lax, more people going past cars, and walking and chatting, I really hope people are not thinking this shit is over!!! (all this out of my window)

I dont go out full stop, I dont know if I have gone the wrong way, but apart from wanting to get out on the bike, I dont want to go anywhere!!! even to the shops, i would rather they delivered, which I cant get, but if I could I would!!!

Try Morrsions, Frankie, We now seem able to book delivery dates when we want (two weeks in advance).

I bet a lot of people will not go back to going to the supermarket and will continue having it delivered.

I wonder if we will all eventually emulate the Muslims, and everyone will wear full burkas made from antibacterial when out in public.?

I am a but concerned about Morrisons, they have some dodgy delivery drivers lol....

I click and collected from the Bracknell Sainsbury's the other week, very impressed, special lane in car park, pull up, bush a button (with a stick lol) they come out with your food. I load up and drive away.

I thought it was only Tommy Robinson supports who used the spelling "Moslem".

"Moslem" in Arabic means pretty much the opposite of what a Muslim is, if memory serves.
Still, you'd think that's something they would have considered during the whole "dictionary process."

May 11th...... I can go out on my bike.... I dont need a form to leave the house or walk the dog or go shopping. (party) (party) (party)

chickenstrips

all according to the French PM about 10 mins ago............

I'm almost emotional - it's been an almost total lockdown here and I hope this is the beginning of improvements. I havent seen anywhere further than the end of our road/track for the last 6 weeks.

Its a very gradual opening up, but the main things affecting our life will start to change next month. We still cant go more than 100km from home without a form and permission, we will also need to wear masks anywhere in public, but can visit family, go out and shop if the shops are taking precautions. I might even be able to order something online as we haven't had any delivery systems for 6 weeks.

They will review at start of June in terms of figures and reserve the right to lockdown again, so i think i'll be out every day (on my bike anyway) (bandit)
