Germany is very interesting at the moment. The right wing is taking a battering after criticism of Merkle. A lot of Germans have rallied to her support.
Merkle is being led by the scientists. She laid out a short and long term plan and explained the reasons for it. They did widescale testing which helped limit the spread and kept the deaths relatively low. Germany is starting to relax some of the restrictions but Merkle has warned that Germany will shut down again if there's a rise in new cases.
Basically she's put herself at the forefront and kept her country informed.
yes shes seems to calm and calculated and doing a good job

I saw a chart and the four countries that have the lowest death per captia are all led by female leaders. I for one and bloody proud of how my home PM is running things.

At a glance, yes. But I’m no political genius

San Francisco had a similar problem. People took to the streets to complain about the restrictions. You can guess what happened next.

so lets start the mandatory vaccine debate,
I am not a conspiracy theorist and not against cure or treatment but I wont be putting any pharma products into my body after what happened to me

I don't think it did be mandatory. The flu jab isn't.
For people with healthy immune systems and no underlying conditions it should be strongly recommended.

To try and put you at ease slightly, Perkles, this vaccine is a modification on a preexisting one, something that was being developed for 2 years already I believe.
When you consider than 2 years development without a pandemic is fast, you should also consider that they'll be working on numerous vaccines for numerous diseases/viruses.
At the moment, the entire world is working on numerous vaccines for only 1 virus so you can expect that time of 2 years total to be reduced just by sheer power of work force.
I'm personally not a fan of vaccines (although I do understand their benefit) so I do understand where you're coming from

I have no problems with vaccines, not generally speaking. You go & get your jab ~~ worst case, you maybe feel under-the-weather for a day or two ~~ and then everything is back to normal.

Perks after the horror show you went through with a well ‘tried and tested’ medication and the absolute denial from the majority of the medical field about it, I do not blame you in the slightest.
I’m all for vaccinations but being pretty healthy I’ll be sitting on the sidelines with this one for a while.

Wife has been told this morning there is a fair chance the school summer holidays will be cancelled this year and the kids will have to go back to school to make up for all these weeks they are missing.

We've read exactly the opposite, no chance of going back out of normal term time.

I don't think all the kids will be in all at once but i suspect they might be going back in a phased way from 1 June.
