It really was a splash and dash. Turned up, picked up the plastics for the kwak then left. Wife was at work today then going out tonight so I had a very small window of opportunity to hook up with the seller.

And the next couple of days as they get everything working as it used to... bloody IT peopleKwacky wrote:New laptops and IT at work, so today is going to be a write off.

I will mainly today be chilling, doing a bit of plumbing, and chasing down a new contract. As the sun is shining I might also get the bike out and give it a wash off after yesterday.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Used one of those freeze kits to freeze the water supply so I could put an isolator in.
Fecking thing thawed out a lot quicker than it was supposed to. Stuck my thumb on the end of the pipe to stop water pissing everywhere.

Can't remember the last time I had a tetnis shot, so should do it properly.

Well I'm all patched up now, turns out it was badly burned and I had ripped a few layers of skin off. No wonder it hurt.
@Cookie, nothing that dramatic I'm afraid. The utility room sink has a slight leak from one of the joints on the hot water pipes, however there are no isolators on the pipes anywhere. The choice was either freeze it and bung an isolator in, or totally drain the system. Well I couldn't be arsed to drain the system. I used one of the freeze packs before and had about 30 mins, what I hadn't factored in this time is someone had run the hot tap so the water in the pipe was hot. I had less than 5 mins before the pipe thawed enough to turn into a fountain. Managed to get a little help from a local builder and I now have an isolator in place.

I was going to say, those pipe freeze kits are about as much use as a sore thumb..
