Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Dropped it.
In true Kwacky style, on the petrol station forecourt.
Ironically, just before I turned up to a Slow Speed Skills event.
No idea why, but I pulled up to the pump, turned the bike off, got off it and totally forgot about putting the sidestand down.
Never in 9 years of biking have I forgotten to put the sidestand down, but it rather quickly dawned on me as the bike started to make its way towards the deck.
Luckily I'd got off to the left and had leant the bike that way too, so I made an attempt to catch it. I didn't stop it fully, but I did slow it significantly. It made contact with the floor and immediately i was pushing it back up. It almost bounced it was that quick.
Now here's the weird part...
No damage.
There was possibly a mark on the hero blob, and the mirror was loosened a bit (but the mirror has no damage whatsoever).
That's it.
Without wanting to jinx things, I'm beginning to think that bike is bulletproof. That's twice I've dropped it in 6 months and the only thing I've got to show for it is a scrape about the quarter of the size of a 5p piece!!!

Good recovery!!
Though the whole 'forgot to put the sidestand down' effort is doozy! Even for my standards of stupidity!!

It's that time of year where you need your sun visor down but the lining in your textiles. It's still bloody cold in the mornings.

Not rode it for almost a week now. How do people commute by car all the time? It's horrible. Especially now its nice.
Still, my new chain, service items and tyres are on route. Hopefully be back on the road soon. I'll take pics of my chain before, cut off, and after (i.e. new one fit).
I also robbed a chain breaker/fitting tool from work so will have a go.
And if its difficult, I have some super glue as back up.

They gave me a Street Cup for the day while the street is in for a service.
Nice bike. I like it. I'll do a brief review this evening.

Be interested in what you think. I like the look of it a lot.

That bike is amazing when you crashed last time we went out mine would have been a full on write off but no just a scuff on the exhaust ... Its got some sort of mystic anti damage force force fieldItchy wrote:Dropped it.![]()

Took the baffle out of the Triple. It's no louder but it's got a nice rumble now on the run down and sounds a bit deeper at tick over.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
No limiter action yet. To be honest as it's a triple you don't really need to get that high. I think the limiter is at 14k and I rarely go over 12k. The rev lights are on 10k for now.

Not mine but my Dad's divvy 900. Fitted a set of braided brake lines and a set of Yamaha 'Blue Spot' calipers as an upgrade to the standard ones. He's got to put heavier fork oil in now to counteract the fork dive now they're not wooded, lol.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Played about with the rev limiter light today. Made it so it flickers at 14K RPM. Also had an issue with the front brake switch over the weekend. Sprayed a bit of WD40 in to the switch and I noticed that it started to work but if I pulled the brake in further it would stop. So I sprayed more and more into this switch and got it working properly. Unsure how long for though

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
I used to have mine set at 14k too - it's nice for the road but annoying on track (change from 4th to 5th or 5th to 6th on track and the light is constantly on!)
