I am fast finding out how much difference losing weight does to a bike.

The ST-RS is about 45kg lighter than the Multi wet weight. It makes a huge difference to the agility of the bike.

Wow didnt think the multi was that heavy tbh.

Yeah huge difference. I took 20kg out of the SP and it's absolutely nothing like the stock bike.

The ST-RS is super light. I think it's about 166kg dry.

The Multi is lighter than many bikes in its class but I think the wet weight is close to 230kg. It didn't feel that when moving at decent pace but regardless of that you do know a bike is heavy at slower speed and when stopping and moving away at junctions

That’s my only criticism of the Multi too Duke, it’s a big lump to move push about and negotiate very slow speeds in car parks etc. as you say, once you’re underway it’s no an issue. It’s one of the reasons I got the GB, I use that for my town runs as it’s the size of a bicycle (lol)

That's a massive 26kg lighter than the s3 at 192kg dry.

Need a 46mm, 1/2" drive impact socket to get the rear wheel off.

Rang local Triumph dealer and they want £35.96 and it's an 1.1/2 hour round trip to collect.

Bought the exact same part number online for £12.66 delivered.

Getting the socket is the easy part. Now try undoing the nut. :D I bought a standard socket on Ebay for a lot less too

I did buy a flat one to put under the seat on the Multi for the big trips as everyone says that a lot of tyre depots don't keep the biggest sockets .

I would guess the Panigale is the same size as the Multi.

Yes I have the Ducati specific socket, thanks Duke and no trouble getting it off tbh. You just have to have the right tool for the job (lol)

If a 1200mm breaker bar does nt sort it the impact gun will (muscle) hence why I purchased an impact socket.

Arguably the best road tyre I've used.

Never used this brand before and they were cheap at nearly half the money of replacement OEM Pirelli's.

Key to a good tyre is confidence, despite being very cold and damp today and the tyres being brand new they give confidence immediately.

That photo below is after 27miles of use. You can still see the rubber strands from the mould.

I'll write a review later but stopped for a coffee as very cold out but initial impressions are very good.

Was very tempted by them but the tread pattern on the M7RR looks better for wet roads and boy did I need that last Sunday.

Bridgestone s21 buddy. Really suit the bike and a bargain at 160 the pair.

Genuinely impressed and much better than the OEM supercorsa as a road tyre imo

To be fair Blade it doesn't look like it took you long to crank it over

I've got the 016 Pro and to be fair I find them very good. I'll need some new ones soon so I'll keep these ones in mind too

I think the S21 sits in the range between the BT16 and the all new S22.

I'm sure the S22 will be better but you pay alot more for it.

To be fair for me the 016 is great, I take it easy in the wet though as they do waggle their tail if its pouring its wet but nowhere near as bad as the Supercorsas. So I can only imagine the latest tech being better and better.

Next year I will be in position for new tyres and I will have to decide. They are a huge expense and huge commitment choosing the right ones. I have no issue if they only last a season but it has to be able to inspire and give you confidence. It sounds like these S21s do both

The mileage is supposed to be very good on the s21, Rossgo and I only paid £162 instead of nearly £300 for supercorsa so worth a try. Initial impression is s21 is probably a better road tyre than the Supercorsa as suit to more conditions and more neutral feel on turn with very good stability.

I'm guessing that coffee was at a crossroads next to a SPA shop and you lost the chicken strips on snake pass?

What's the profile like, do they tip in nicely?

Jeez was it really that amount in difference on price, that's a huge difference to be honest. I'll be honest that's why I went for the BT016. The tyre guy said they were a good price and good tyre. I literally have no issues with the Battlelax range. I'm not surprised you are enjoying the S21. A neutral turn in I'd good for the road but I do tend to like the more sportier feel of a quicker sharper turn in. I'm going to guess the S21 is on par with the M7RR in terms of turn in and probably even grip - we all know how good the M7RR are to use.

They don't turn in quickly tbh and the s3 is quite a slow steering bike in nature, but fortunately it has wide bars to assist.

The turn in, imo is more neutral and more a progressive roll in (if thaty makes sense) which is how I m finding the bike likes to be ridden. Its not an aggressive steering bike so the s21 really suit it, although they may not be as good on a supersport bike I dont know.
