No point going if wet. Showers are not too bad but if wet its just not worth it IMO.
Not panicking yet as it could all change.

The forecast is not great is it ? When is the latest you lads can leave it to call ?
I'm thinking do you need to know mid afternoon to cancel days holiday from work or are you taking it off anyway ?
What are peoples current thoughts ?

According to this it's going to be wet early in the morning then drying off. You can move the bar to see where the rain is going to be at certain times.

Re: Mid Week Mid Wales Run 6 th August
OK as a suggestion if its wet early on why don't we move the meeting times back an hour so most if not all the rain should have pasted by the time we venture out.
If people agree I suggest meet at the raven at 10 and new town for 11:15 ? What do people think ? Should still have plenty of time.
I know for one I will be glad of a little later start anyway if we are riding all day as ball bagged at the moment. I've had 18 hours sleep since tea time Wednesday which is 6 days ago. God I hate coming off nights I feel like a zombie

How does that slot in with times? I need to be home before 6.

Re: Mid Week Mid Wales Run 6 th August
Should be fine tbh. I reckon we can be in cross gates for 1230 latest, probably earlier, 30 min stop and then into Aberystwyth for 1400. Another 30 main chill out and be in bala for 1530 with then about 1.5 hours to get home which should mean home 1730 so 1/2 hour to spare. If time is slipping away its easy to peel off and take a shorter route home.

Re: Mid Week Mid Wales Run 6 th August
I'm happy to crack on to Aberysthwth if we're meeting at newtown later on. That should speed things up.
I have to be back before 6 as I promised my son I would do something with him as I can't get time off next week for his birthday.

Re: Mid Week Mid Wales Run 6 th August
Kwacky if f you read the original post the plan was to be out 12 hours so being home for 6 would always be tight. I purposely made the comment to avoid deadlines etc. However saying that I think it can be done if we are shorter on stops and chat less but can't guarantee it. Most seem OK with the revised start times but we can't miss out the a483 its the main reason for going.
As a suggestion to move things aling If we meet in newtown at 1115 (only 45 min later than orignal plan) have an early lunch and pull out at 1200 we can ride the a483 and be in Aberystwyth for 1330 which basically pulls most of the time back as no stop of at Crossgates. We have set of an hour later, missed rush hour traffic, hopefully missed the rain and hopefully will have a more enjoyable day because of it.
I personally think we should be OK but no guarantee sorry.
Off to bed soon as totally wacked. I'm up for leaving an hour later and avoiding rain, let's make a final decision. Me, Andy and Rocket seem ok with revised times what's other people's desicison?
