Re: What are you doing today ??
Dying of the man flu.
Spent most of yesterday trying not to flake out every time I stood up. My young fella is crook too. Of to the docs today as I'm due to fly out to work tomorrow but they won't have me till I'm better so need a cert.
The ex seems to think I should keep the kids till I go, I've told her I'll have them tonight but then she needs to take them or else I'll be skimming the child support. I'll still do the after school stuff but running around after kids full time is not going to help me get better.

Sounds like you've got your priorities right....I mean, you could get the kids sick too, right??
I know how the custody thing can be...all too well, unfortunately.
Hope it all works out, mate.

The kids got me sick so that's the one thing I'm not worried about the young fella is home crook with me today but he'll be right for school tomorrow. Was borderline today anyway.D41 wrote:Sounds like you've got your priorities right....I mean, you could get the kids sick too, right??

That sucks get yourself a garage defender, device to stop the door getting opened if if they get the lock open.TonyB wrote:Shopping for more physical bike security and a new lid.
My garage was broken into yesterday. My dads bike and mine were untouched, I think my flashing red led alarm indicator light and rear disk lock put them off and my dads bike is a Yamaha Divvy 900 which weighs the same as a Challenger 2 MBT, so they grabbed whatever was closest to hand which happened to be my Shoei Qwest lid and Triumph shortie gloves. Wankers. I'll be ordering a lock set from Pragmasis I think and it'll be bolted to the front of my house under the window with a cover over it and a camera inside the house looking out.

You can get battery alarms for garages, I used on in an old house where all my kit was in a shed, used it on that. Battery lasted for ever before needing changing.

Getting out for some excercise later having a walk around the lower edge of the town boundary - it was all marsh in my childhood and is now grazing land, it's a beautifully desolate area with no visible signs of human habitation in places, just right for a blustery days walk. Then we'll be coming back to a roast beef dinner.

Open top motoring, lunch out, shopping for our Jollydays and then a barbecue later.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Yesterday helped a mate move house. Spotted a neighbour had a nice S1000R so had a chat with him. Ten minutes later he knocked round asking for help to pick it up as he'd knocked it over putting it on its stands. The poor bugger had only got it out to give it a quick polish ready for his trip to the TT on Thursday
The crash protection did its job but I did spot his aftermarket keyless filler cap was leaking.
