What is wrong with the American's...its their right to have guns so they all f&*king think its their right to use them too on other people. Messed up!D41 wrote:The morning news, and more fallout from the recent mass shooting.
There's been an alleged copycat plan foiled in Whittier, CA.....a threat was made by a student being ejected/expelled from school, and subsequently a cache of weapons has been discovered at the student's home.
Fun times.

Never say "all" when it comes to this sorta thing....I certainly don't think it's my right to own weapons, it's my privilege to own them.
And the overwhelming majority of Americans are as disgusted as anyone else about this...perhaps even more so.
But there's no doubt that a certain number of people have lost the plot.....the manufacturers of "bump stocks" is a case in point of people trying to get around the law.
Bottom line...if other people didn't have guns, then I wouldn't need one, and that'd be fine by me (I'm fibbing a bit...I'd still need one 'just in case'- which is all it's ever there for anyway, but you get the point).

Re: What you watching?
Interesting yoy say 'just in case' here in Britain we dont have that thinking, we have cricket bats but when used the thief gets a slap on the wrist while the person who has used the said bat gets a criminal record and time in prison. More laws for the thief than for the victim here. But still wouldnt want guns, just need an over reactive person and then your head gets blown off (and i dont mean in the good way!)D41 wrote:Rossgo wrote:What is wrong with the American's...its their right to have guns so they all f&*king think its their right to use them too on other people. Yeah, but I'd look a total idiot trying to stuff a cricket bat under my armpit & inside my jacket. It'd be awkward to say the least.

Trump.
Strikes me as odd how we've gone from perhaps the best President in living memory to the worst President in this country's memory in just one election.

Legit
Comedy series of a Aussie comedian Jim Jefferies who lives in US, quite a laugh. His stand ups on Netflix are pretty good too

Have you got to episode 5 yet?Kwacky wrote:Altered Carbon
I'm up to episode 8 now, should have finished series 1 by the end of the weekend.

The Orville.
Blindspot.
Just started season 3 of Vikings (so go easy with the spoilers!)
I fancy giving Altered Carbon a go.
As a family we all tend to watch the DC series, which every now and then will do a crossover episode with all four shows. Somehow we've ended up not watching some, so for the past few weeks we've been catching up with Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow. Okay, it's not the best tv out there, but it is fun to watch and it gives me a rare treat as both the kids will sit down to watch it and spend some time together as a family.
Ignoring each other!
Also watched Coco the other night, the new Pixar film. Predictable stuff, but better than expected.
