They are so stupid. Also, they increase vehicle emissions by increasing the amount of time you end up using your brakes to control your speed. No one ever considered brake dust but it's really bad for you.
There's an average speed 50mph section by Pontygof west of Abergavenney which, when travelling east, is so severely downhill that you MUST brake in a petrol or diesel car. If the speed limit was 70, I'm fairly sure you wouldn't need to touch your brakes or accelerator.
Rant over.

I'm fine with the 20 limit in certain places like outside schools, and narrow roads through villages, but this blanket 30 to 20 is ridiculous. Having said that the preliminary data on accident and accident severity reduction does look positive.

This is all bollox..... They cant stop these muppets being behind the wheel, The standard of driving and the behaviour of drivers is diabolical. So if we all drive at 20 MPH when they do crash it will be less of a chance of serious injury or death.
However because of this, you have such a difference in speeds now, from people who know where cameras are, or just don't give a crap, and people crawling along at 20! That I would think the accident rate has properly gone up !!
Let lone the twats who drive at 35/40 mph in every speed limit. lol.
I do agree with 20's outside schools though, and small villages. The roads haven't changed, but cars are trucks have got much bigger.... people cant keep on their own side of the bloody road at the best of times.
While I am on a moan, average speeds on good roads is getting more frequent, all good biking roads

It's not really affecting me much on the new bike, I've been pretty much 80% single track back of the back roads (national speed limit) since getting the KTM. I've found some amazing places in the Peaks that I didn't even know existed. Plus the summers are getting really dangerous on the main roads, absolutely full of dick heads, or at least that's how it feels.

The chip on my debit card has failed. It's only a couple of months old.
So I've got to wait for a new card, then set it up on my phone and various online accounts like eBay, PayPal and Google pay.
PITA

It's so rare I actually use my physical card these days.
I use my phone to pay for pretty much everything

I had to get some cash for the co2 canisters. The bloke was selling expired co2 fire extinguishers.
He was a bit weird. Told me about cloud seeding by the WEF to ruin our environment. Apparently it never rains for more than 2 days unless the government interferes.

Chem trails, cloud seeding, vaccines, climate change denyers...there seem to be more complete nutjobs in this world than ever before.

It's not surprising to me given how blatantly corrupt the world is. Government don't even try to hide it anymore.

I'm trying to remember how much it was back in the late 80s...I think it was a quid, and everyone just about shat when it went up to a quid and twenty pence. And I was in a band back then, and we basically were just playing for beer and petrol money. Happy times.

Super brief vent..
Work brought out a new bonus scheme. £1000 if your team meet their targets.
With the intention of bringing the company together it has already hugely separated teams and brought out a mentality of "I will only help my team".
Yup... good fun that is.

I'm old enough to remember going out with a fiver, buying a packet of fags from the vending machine and 4 pints

Yep, I remember that too...5 quid was enough for a night on the town & a kebab for the stumble home.
