Be interested to learn what you think please. I'm not one for horrors, but that looked quite interesting.Kwacky wrote:It's not a bad film.
I've put Carrie on. The remake.

Watched the Battle of the Bands at the BBC Proms, lots of very good music, not my first choice but good music is good regardless of type.

Re: What you watching?
If you've seen the previous Carrie film then you need to put that out of your mind. Obviously they follow the same story but they're told differently. The new one is good. Carrie is well portrayed by Chloë Moretz who seems to get a good balance between awkward shy girl and total mental with special powers. The supporting cast is a bit weak. I was disappointed by Moore, she's normally pretty good.
It's not close to the book and it's not got the same suspense as the original film but for horror it's got a decent balance between what you see and what you perceive.
As a stand alone film it's pretty decent. If you're after an updated version of the previous film or something faithful to the book then you're going to be disappointed.

Re: What you watching?
Do you need to watch series one first. I've recorded series 2 but not seen series 1Kwacky wrote:The last in the series of Utopia. Proper TV.

Re: What you watching?
I would.
You can watch series 2 on its own. The first episode tells you what went on so you catch up that way, but you miss all of the back stories and the character development. Plus it's very good TV so worth watching regardless.

Yes but we were top after we won at Poorman Road (even if only for a short time) and took the piss out of the sad losers whilst there.
