I need get this bike booked in for it's next service, which is at 22,500 miles. Seems a bit of an odd time to call for a service to me.

Its because they are every 3750 miles so yours is the 6th one.

Just seems strange they're so close together for what is a well known engine.

Tbh most jap bikes are 4k intervals which is common for a high review il4.

Only reason I can suggest why kawasaki suggest slightly earlier intervals is 3750 miles is a conversion from 6000km.

Mine has 8000 - 10,000 mile service intervals.

Not sure what the service book actually says it is.

It'll be interesting to see what Birmingham Kawasaki quote me. I've looked online at some Kwak dealers and the price goes as high as £634.

I stuck to the service intervals until I noticed my gear shifts going bad at 2-3k then I would just change it as and when. With trackdays, no more than 3 before an oil change.

The bike runs a treat

Took the bike in for its next service.

The senior tech is off (facepalm) I told them I need the bike serviced before the Isle of Man so they've agreed to book it in for next Tuesday, which is awkward as I'm in London all day so I'll need to drop it off with them on Saturday and collect it Wednesday morning.

They didn't seem all that interested in much Kawasaki last time I was in there, I bought mine from Leicester Kawasaki, but there doesn't seem to be many Kwak dealers in the East Midlands now, so I'm not sure where mine will be going for tlc, maybe Griff Woolley.
