I've tried the winter thing and managed to send a CB600rr down the road after hitting some black ice.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
This day 3 years ago I rode my bike current bike for the second time in 3 inches of snow. I did of course stop for the mandatory photo - I'm hoping it's on my facebook memories today so I can share it.
I nearly dropped it when trying to get back on the bike though! haha

Shifted it eventually. Wife sat on bike with back brake on and me standing on the breaker bar and the nut moved in the end.

Put a bit of anti seize paste or thread lubricant on the threads before you reassemble Duke.
New tyres ?

I still have the Angel GTs to go back on. At least a couple of thousand miles left in them.
The torque measurement for the rear wheel bolt is something like 240nm so its never easy to remove but not sure if its been removed since before the Italy trip so a fair few miles done since then. Advice is to remove and grease at least once a year so will have to get into that habit.

Consider investing in one of those Duke.
Had similar issues as you described above but this beauty makes light work of undoing tight fasteners with zero damage.
Definitely recommend

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Went out to the IAM meet and only a couple of handfuls of hikes turned up because it was snowing this morning. I was really umming and awwing about it but decided to go. Didn't actually get a ride because there was about 10 associates and around 4 observers!! What I did was I went out on a 20 mile ride myself but my God when I got home my hands were freezing glad I didn't go further.

Cheers Blade. I might order one of those for the end of the month. Handy to have in the toolbox.Blade wrote:Consider investing in one of those Duke.

Grey cold and miserable this morning, and that was just the rider.
I don't like these winter mornings.

Froze my nuts off. -3 this morning.
The Z8 tyres are doing really well in the cold. I'm impressed.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Yeah, this morning was horrible. Genuinely freezing. Didn't help that a couple of my radiators in the house seemed to fail last night, so I was cold all night, cold getting up and then cold on the bike this morning. Just warming up a tiny bit now.
Fancy having to come to work to get warm!
