Re: What are you eating ??
about to go have my 21st bacon, egg and beans breakie in a row. Might splash out and have a hash brown this morning since it's my last.
Believe it or not I've last 2 kg this trip, rindless bacon, no butter on the toast and poach eggs. Ends up being a pretty healthy breakie when you watch the portion size. But I've also stayed out of the cake fridge all trip, completely avoided the choc biscuits, made every second dinner meat free and cut my sugar down by half in my coffees.

I can go with all the above, except the dry toast, that is completely above and beyond in my book.kiwikrasher wrote:about to go have my 21st bacon, egg and beans breakie in a row. Might splash out and have a hash brown this morning since it's my last.

Wasn't dry once I smashed the egg open!
Buggers didn't cook hash browns this morning so didn't get to splurge.

Re: What are you eating ??
Just had a nice mushroom omelette with a twist.
Some chopped spring onion thrown in the mix and it was lovely.

Trying to get a little more healthy so just had white rice with peas and diced mushroom, then added Bacon and HP brown sauce. Actually really enjoyed it, didn't think I would.

Do you eat salsa with your Mexican food??
That's a genuine question BTW....you'd be surprised how many people don't.

Re: What are you eating ??
A home made pork pie
After the disappointment of last week's bought Pork Pie, Mrs Cookie has surpassed herself.
It's on the meat pie side of pork pie as it has apple and Sage &Onion in it as well, but my god its good.
and bigger than shop bought. Proper Pork Pie tin.
I have demanded more

Re: What are you eating ??
Coincidentally I was in a large store's kitchen equipment dept this afternoon (food porn shopping) and noticed they were selling proper wooden pie dollies, especially for raised pies, I was sorely tempted to buy one and and send it out to you in the spirit of Entente Cordiale.
Fwiw, Mrs Cookie seems to have made too much of a success of that pie if I'm any judge!
Whilst Mrs Gee and I were in the same store, we had to "break for cake", I can happily report the lemon drizzle and the coffee and walnut were nicely up to Tankslap standard.
