Jen (Not Jess) has been confirmed with COVID.
I spent 10 mins with her on the weekend. I had to break into her parents house for her as they were away and she was stuck outside.
I gave her a quick hug then we remembered she was having to self isolate so we kept our distance. But in hindsight probably not enough
I’m still in the air on my way to Darwin. Informed work by message. Looks like I’ll be doing more than just 7 days quarantine.

Informed the flight staff. I’m gloved and in a mask. Have an empty seat next to me (I’m in window) but a guy in the isle doesn’t seem to fazed
Why am I such a bloody Shite magnet????

I have to say i don't think the lockdown in the UK now is forceful enough. People should have to carry ID and proof of why they are out.

I agree ,the news is reporting it as "essentially a lockdown" sounds bit weak to me

I’m in isolation for 14 days in a hotel room at the airport. I don’t get tested unless I develop symptoms.
It’s 4.15 x 4.25 metres in size. I measured it with a A4 piece of paper as my datum
I’m not allowed to leave the room.
I’ve just ordered Fish and chips and 4 ciders for dinner.
I’m going to go mad, I’m sure of it.

Your not allowed to leave the room? What? Can you see outside / balcony etc?
Feck.

No mini bar, but I can get room delivery cider, but $10 a bottle!
No balcony but a window. I opened it before for a while but I’m in the tropics so the room then became about 35 degrees and 90% humidity!!
TV doesn’t have porn but my iPad does so Perkles picture is probably very accurate
Good news is the company is footing the room bill and food. Pity the food is shite.
That was a $25 meal, tiny and it turned up cold.
I talked to my boss just before and they are going to see if they can work out how to get me somewhere better. Possibly somewhere I can get outside without having to travel through common use areas (the reason I can’t leave my room here)

It really was. I’m giving them a free pass on that one, but if I get my next meal like that I’m going to kick off.

My mate & a colleague of his were cleared just last night, so all three of us just narrow ly missed what you're going through right now....you have my sympathy, 'cos I was going a bit mental just at the very prospect of a fortnight's isolation. Good luck!
PS.....get a guitar in, or something like that. They're great for passing the time away.

Yeah it’s a bit backwards here. I have to isolate due to my contact with a confirmed case but they won’t test me till I start showing symptoms. They reckon to easy to get a false negative without symptoms and think your clear when you may not be.

Doesn't it typically remain dormant for 10-14 days or so??

My place are contacting the union to see if they can split the production workes into 2 shifts because they are breaking the 2m restriction constantly. If the union deny them 2 shifts they will be forced to stop production of key products.
At anyone time you go onto the shop floor and you'll see a minimum of 3 people within 1m of eachother
