Re: TuneECU - Daytona 600
Ok, well you're going to love this.
I thought, just to be clear, I would start from scratch. So I just removed my hardware, and restarted my laptop.
I then re-installed my lead & tried to run TuneEcu, but it will not now connect to my bike. It says "USB connection not found" or somesuch.!
I've tried removing again & re-installing every which way, but simply can't get the dam thing to connect.
Yes, the blue light lights on attaching the lead to the bike, but the lead is no longer recognised correctly (& bear in mind I KNOW this lead does work correctly).
So, now we're both in the same boat LOL.

Re: TuneECU - Daytona 600
Had a quick Google of the driver names. Appears its auto installed an old 32bit version.
Manually downloaded the 64bit version, so ill try that again tonight

Re: TuneECU - Daytona 600
Message from Tom @ TuneEcu...
Hi James,
I have read everything ready. My English is not so good, but I hope that I understood everything.
Apparently Lonelec has changed the manufacturer of the cable, you are already the third in recent weeks where there are problems with the cable of Lonelec.
Write to Lonelec that the cable does not work. Normal sends Lonelec then a new cable.
If the connection then should still do not work, then try, if possible, a different computer.

And a reply from LoneLec Cables...
Hi James,
Apologies for the trouble you’re having. We will get another cable out to you.
Regards issues of late, we did have a minor issue with a certain PCB revision and have now resolved that with a different supply and modification. There is also another seller claiming to sell our leads so that may also have something to do with it.
Kind Regards
Martin

Re: TuneECU - Daytona 600
More experience with Tuneboys than Tuneecu, but I've run into problems in a previous job where the laptop runs more slowly when on battery (even if the computer battery has a full charge), and flash reprogramming fails or ecu comms won't instigate. It might help if the laptop is plugged in is what I'm saying, if it is plugged in please disregard my ramblings.

Re: TuneECU - Daytona 600
Fwiw, I'm pretty certain your problem is not the bike.jlawie wrote:Tried every drive I could find. And the auto install package...
Having removed my driver & associated files, it now refuses to install correctly no matter what I try.

I will get to the bottom of this. I know both my bike & lead work fine. When I've sussed it, I shall let you know straight away.

Re: TuneECU - Daytona 600
That's the thing. I have the driver that I used before in a separate file on the laptop, and on a removable disc.
No matter what I try, the laptop refuses to accept the OBD cable as it should & keeps reinstalling incorrectly & with the wrong drive. This is despite me trying to direct it at the correct one.

I could do with tuning my 600 up a bit especially with the straight through exhaust
