We've won more medals in more sports than the US. Take out swimming and the US looks very weak.

But in all seriousness....I honestly don't like the nationalistic angle of the whole thing. I understand it, I just don't care for it too much. So many of the athletes don't even train/live in the country they represent. They can always get citizenship elsewhere just to get on a team, etc.
I think it was Olga Korbett who had Dual Citizenship and trained for years in the US, but then always represented her home country??
I'm going to represent the USA at the next Olympics.
