There's a lot of truth there mate. I think you have to buy an aprilia with the same mind set that you would buy a slightly older ducati or any triumph.. There is a long history of failures but some just work.. As you well know I've had the RSV for over 5 years now, barring the stator issue coming back from the IOM it's been really reliable. I've run it for full days with no oil in the sight glass, I've used to for touring, commuting, track days, and weekend hooning and it just does it all. For 2 or 3 years it was home serviced (very badly) and only once has it been properly griff'd
