We watched the first episode of American Gods last night - I think we both agreed its a bit too early to make our minds up. See how it pans out.

I was the same. It's a slow burner. You'll need to watch the first 4 before you can make your minds up. I recommend you stick with it.

Yep...your "first four" is spot on.....first three get you 'situated'...4th and I started to 'get it'.

'Taking Chance'.....second time I've watched this.
Well worth a look...it's a docudrama about how our fallen servicemen & women are taken & treated, from where they fell, to their final resting place.
It's extremely moving, even for a cynical & somewhat jaded fcuker like meself...and it's tough to watch in places.....but it should be watched.
Kevin Bacon is a fine actor, but he takes it to a whole other level in this flick. Outstanding.
