Had a nice run down to Ludlow and back round via Bridgnorth.

Bit nippy though even in the sunshine.

I cleaned mine (chain included!!) and then rode it to a fantastical fail on my IAMs test... turns out speeding is frowned upon. Who would have thought! Now looking for a camera for it to film my rides to watch them back and check where Im going wrong... does anyone else do that? Or do you just use the camera to catch out twunts on the road?

What happened Ro? You was doing well through your observed rides for what I remember, and even did theory lessons when it was cold! When did you speed? It's very funny you say about the speed because I have been told by my observer never speed unless overtaking and that is only off the tester states if there's an overtake I will not be looking at my Speedo etc. However have also been out with someone else who said if there's nice twisties make the ride fun, don't let the tester get bored!! Very confusing!!

Anyway going back to the idea of recording your rides. I have started to do exactly that. Got myself a Go Pro to rewatch the run. Seems a good idea to me!!

I went along Coalport Road (Telford) at 40mph... it's a 30mph... stupid error. It was obviously 30mph approaching the bridge but after the narrow bridge it opened up, no street lights... no houses... looked like a national. I was more worried I was going too slow in a national!!!! Shocked when he said it wasn't!

Yeah my cross check went really well - but then again, in the Thames Valley most roads are very well signed for speed... up here I feel they're a bit more frugal with their usage!!!!

A Go Pro is so far out of my budget its unreal! Maybe that one linked in the other post...

Ahh I see. That's a real shame Ro. Hope you can take a retest soon.

I picked my go pro up for 85quid it's second hand but came with a SD Card and some mounts, however there are plenty of others, eg SJ4000 which everyone says is a good camera.

PS hope you have settled into your new house and job nicely now [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH]

I have the sj4000 and can highly recommend it.

The good thing is all the GoPro accessories are compatible.

Horrible ride into work. Cold, wet and dark. It's only going to get worse.

New house and new job = fantastic... at my new job they've even sorted me out with an off road parking slot for my blade and allowed me to hang my wet leathers in the warehouse so they dry :D AMAZING!!!

On the subject of riding to work... BRRR! Horrid wet, cold weather. Meh. Will be like it all week... might drive *gasp*

I found it takes a while to get used to riding in all weathers to and from work. But once you've got the right kit it's worth it.

And they come with self cleaning screens :D and your hair isn't wet when you arrive.... and your leathers don't smell like wet dog at the end of the week...

Am I getting soft by buying a car?! I've seen the weather forecast for tomorrow.... I'm driving to work.

Awesome bike Ro 8)

I had a blue and black 954 and absolutely loved it. Definitely one of the best bikes I have ever owned.
