Re: General Election 2019?
That's criminal to me and why I want a proportionate representation system. I understand it wouldn't have changed the outcome based on the votes last night.

I think PR will change peoples mindset about how they vote. It'll get rid of the tribal two party system and probably encourage more people to vote.

Re: General Election 2019?
The Northern Ireland results are all in:
DUP - 8 seats
Sinn Fein - 7
SDLP - 2
Alliance - 1
So the majority are Pro-EU and there's a swing away from Unionists towards Nationalists.

The Stats for NI are eye opening. DUP taking less than a third of the votes.

So if we had PR Johnson would not be PM today?Kwacky wrote:The votes per seat stat is eye opening
If you read the Tory manifesto he is set for more gerrymandering over the next few years.
I sincerely hope I am no longer living in the UK come the next election.

True enough mate.Blade wrote:On a brighter note the bare shelves at Christmas prediction never came true.
However I think you'll find that concern was specifically based on us having crashed out at the previous deadline, wasn't it.?
You'll probably have to wait till next christmas for those empty shelves mate.

Who wants to bet this time next year we're still moaning how useless the Tory party are because no trade deals have been formalised and we're still on limbo.

Re: General Election 2019?
A possible positive from a large majority is that Johnson no longer has to rely on the ERG to get brexit going.

Re: General Election 2019?
The counting was taking place in a village hall.
Someone had booked it for a game of badminton. So they had to move and count again.
