Re: Pokemon Go
Had a quick play yesterday, and found Id run out of room for Pokémon. Thank goodness they have upgraded the transfer method, so much faster!

Re: Pokemon Go
I finally set the kids up with their own accounts to run on the iPod Touches they got for Christmas. Didn't realise the iPods don't have GPS. But when tethered to my iPhone for data it seems to give them a reasonable location, they get the occasional 'No GPS' warning, but a quick refresh and it goes and the game is functional again.
It's a bugger it doesn't allow play when you're driving any more, I don't know why it even asks if you're a passenger because all the functionality disappears anyway.
They both got to level 7 within an hour at the park.

Nice! Driving works so long as you stay below 20mph.. There are a few places near me where I can just chill at 20 down a street and pick up 0.5km and a pokestop
I found a Scyther at my local park this morning

It's 25 km here, and I live outside the metro area so very nearly never travel below that unless it's on purpose for Pokémon GoCav wrote:Nice! Driving works so long as you stay below 20mph.. There are a few places near me where I can just chill at 20 down a street and pick up 0.5km and a pokestop

Re: Pokemon Go
My case broke and I'm undecided on which replacement to get.. in the mean time, my phone fell out of my pocket as I got in my car and it's now cracked the glass on the back. It didn't even hit the aluminium surround. NOT HAPPY

Re: Pokemon Go
The GPS is patchy at work so If I leave the game running I get some movement of my character and the distance gets clocked up.
My boss is out today so I've left it on and hatched 4 eggs.
2km egg - weedle (yes, another)
5km egg = poliwag
5km egg - Paras
10km egg = Scyther.
All shit. All of them. I've not had a good egg for a while now.

3 10km eggs hatched today. 2 of them were baby Magmars. As if Magmars aren't bad enough.

Re: Pokemon Go
I hatched a Lapras (my third now), then about 10 minutes later caught my first wild one. The CP was only 532 but it's more candy to upgrade the first one.

Re: Pokemon Go
No, it's more of a habit with me now. Walk the dog in the evening and hit the pokestops hoping to get eggs. During the day I open the game at work and let my character walk about clocking up about 5km a day.
I very rarely catch anything now unless anything decent pops up. I've even got a Magikarp as my buddy to see if I can get enough to evolve it.
They need to release Gen2 soon. The code is in place for them to do it.

Re: Pokemon Go
I didn't even bother up in Darwin last time on my way out. Had such a hectic Christmas break I just wanted to vege for the arvo.
Now the kids have their own accounts I'm guessing I'll be taking them out a bit more once I get home, but it's not something I think to do myself these days.

Re: Pokemon Go
With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, we couldn’t think of a sweeter time to double the amount of Candy you’ll earn every time you catch, hatch, and transfer Pokémon. Your Buddy Pokémon is also getting into the Valentine’s Day spirit and will find Candy twice as fast!
Throughout the celebration, you’ll notice that Chansey, Clefable, and many other adorable pink Pokémon will be encountered more frequently in the wild. Cleffa, Igglybuff, and Smoochum will also be more likely to hatch from Eggs. And to help you paint your town pink this Valentine’s Day, Lure Modules will last for six hours for the entire duration of the event.
This limited-time celebration will only be available from 11:00 A.M. PST on February 8, 2017, to 11:00 A.M. PST on February 15, 2017, so grab your valentine, get out, and explore the world around you!
