Re: What do you want to vent about today?
Had to increase the text size on my phone finally as I got to the point I was holding it arms length to read it #oldman
Being in the office all week so I’ve been wearing my reading glasses for much longer periods than I have done since I got them over a year ago. Feels like it made my eye sight even worse!!

You've got to get it right if you're going to mock me for it.. you've got to push pineapples and shake trees !!!
Also, I'm up for a laugh and my fiancé was an entertainer at Haven for a short time so knows all of them. Very performing arts

Struggling with finding the will and the motivation to do day to day stuff.
The wife is really struggling not just with her mum being ill but with the can of worms that will be opened with her brother when their mum is no longer around.
Its making her ill as well which is not good in the circumstances.

Re: What do you want to vent about today?
I'm not an angry person but everything is pissing me right off today.
I'm going to assume it's a mixture of the following:
Sh!t sleep
Very low on money
Delay in knee surgery
Realisation I need my right knee operated on too
Wedding only 3 weeks away
2nd dress alterations required at cost to us
Fiancé was in tears about her dress because she wishes she got a different one (I'm not even getting involved.. she can do what she wants and hide the receipt from me!!)
Car has been broken for about 3 months and getting progressively worse (no money to fix so bury head in sand)
I'm permanently exhausted
Work is slow as sh!t currently and I'm in a perpetual cycle of writing a document, issuing it, receiving feedback, making changes, reissuing. The problem isn't the document, it's the fact the testing has been done and I'm trying to get a test plan issued which they want changing because of the testing they've done highlight new things.
Oh and I've got really bad tooth and gum ache today which painkillers don't touch.
And I'm dieting.
Basically I whinge a lot and I'm hangry.
This is just a rant so I don't explode.. sorry for that
Hope you're all having a better day

Re: What do you want to vent about today?
Sorry Cav for all your woes, it all sounds very stressful
My daughter has attended 2 weddings in the past 6 months, she was bridesmaid at both.
One cost the parents 75k and the one 2 weeks ago cost the bride and bride 37k , for the life of me I can't understand the cost...
Her best friend for the last 25 years is getting married abroad after xmas, everyone who wants to go has to pay for their own flights and accommodation although free bar and food on the day .
My daughter is bridesmaid again and this wedding is costing both sets of parents and bride and groom 5k all in .
Funny thing is the same people are going to the one abroad and are happy to cover their costs as they are all so close and want to be there that attended the first two
The 2 expensive weddings although very nice and caused no financial hardship to anyone will probably be outshone by the one abroad as they are all going for 5 days having lots of fun
Try not to stress but remember it's just a day, it's the days after that really count

Re: What do you want to vent about today?
I can easily understand the £30k one as ours would be up there if we didn't do a lot of stuff ourselves
We looked at getting married abroad and the most luxurious 3 weeks would have cost £12k

Why not? How much does it cost for a registry wedding now?Cav wrote:You can't even do it at a Registry office for that now
