I did chest last week and smashed it. I seemed to be really strong. I had DOMs for days.
I did chest last night and seemed really weak.
Strange.

Same routine as usual. 3 tablets about 40 mins before exercise.

I've started that 3 day plan I posted the other week.
I thought it would be relatively easy. Oops. You do various bits of your body so you're getting a sweat on. It didn't take long, about 40 minutes, but I was battered.

Deadlifts today. Was supposed to be doing 5 sets of 3.
Went for 315lbs which equates to around 142kg
First set went okay but felt my grip going, so I used some straps for the next lot.
2nd set wasn't that bad, but could feel my form beginning to suffer
3rd set was absolutely awful, am quite surprised no one came over to tell me off for rounding my back!
4th and 5th set dropped down to 100kg and removed the straps.
Did other stuff after that, but wasn't really feeling it today. I've run out of the pre-workout I'd been using, so it could've been that, but I think it was more likely to do with the fact that due to work commitments I had to train in the afternoon. After training in the morning for so long, I just haven't got my mojo if I have to train at any other time.

Run tonight, but didn't really enjoy it. I wasn't 100% in the mood for it, had some niggly pains in my legs and the wind really pissed me off. Still managed a respectable time..

I did Day 2 of the 3 day workout yesterday. This time it went smoothyl, apart from my picking up an EZ with weights on
and no clips
so I was dropping weights all over the place as I walked off with it

.
This plan has a lot of leg work in it. There's a few at the gym who could do with using this workout

3rd day of the 3 day plan. I didn't like this day. I prefer normal deadlifts to the straightleg version and I hate doing dumbell lunges.
I might look for another gym. This one doesn't really cater for people wanting to do free weights and the likes of squats and deadlifts. There's only one squat rack and 9 times out of 10 it's being used for pull ups or chest presses or anything other than squats.

Maybe one near work, so you miss the traffic as you finish later? It's a shame as your gym is soooo close to your house.

This one is ideal. It's 3 minutes walk.
I don't want one near work. That means going from work to the gym then home, all in my biking gear.

deadlifts and core.
I finally managed to beat my PB today. I've been stuck at a weight for ages. Went through it today.
It's still crap so I'm not telling

I did 12 x 70kg
10 x 100kg
6 x 130 kg
1 x 135kg.
I didn't intend to do anything other that my normal routine but the 130kg felt ok so I went for the 135.
I guess I could do more if I didn't do so many reps but I'm not looking to powerlift.

That's not bad considering your recent surgery. Deadlifts are awful to do for high reps as well, so that's not too shabby in my book.

It sounds more impressive if I total it up
2,755 kg

And then turn it into pounds.
6073lbs.

I've been feeling run down so I've decided to do some cardio and build up my general fitness again. I need to lose some pounds off the middle anyway. So a mix of cardio machines with some core and abs exercises inbetween.
