Only just over 120 miles but most of that tank was doing the 2.5 mile "commute" to work and back.
The fuel light started flashing the other day so i thought I'd better sort it out. Gave me a good chance to to try out the mirrors. First thing i thought was...
"Yeah, I can't see shit!"
The left actually wasn't that bad but the right was positioned wrong and it's the one I use the most.
I can adjust it, it's not a major problem. I think the main thing will be getting used to where I look for the mirror. I kept looking instinctively where the mirror used to be, so I need to retrain my brain.
And adjust the mirror so I'm not looking at a load of hedge and sky!

Fitted mirror blanking plugs.
Am liking the open feeling I get with the lack of mirror stems in front of me.
I don't know if it's me being weird or what, but I feel like it's encouraging better body position because I feel more comfortable leaning forward and into the corner without having a mirror right in my chops.
Still getting used to the different position of the mirrors though.

Birmingham Kawasaki. They'll give me a loan bike for the day so it makes sense
If the zx6r was on the road then Mike could have collected the SX but I can't be without both bikes for a few days.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Totally by accident I bumped into a couple of guys just trying to get started with a bike servicing business.
As it's in the village it would make it really easy for me to get work done on my bikes, talking to the guy he seems to really know his stuff.
On top of that he has allowed me to store the track bike in their unit over the weekend while I move, and possibly longer term of needed.
Happy biking days, even though I didn't get to ride it..

You quitting biking for good or just for a couple of years?
Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Right now I have no idea . I'm a bit numb from it actually. It was a large part of my psyche for a long while and now it's just gone off in the back of a rusty transit van.
I think I'm going to wait for the dust to settle and for cash to level out before any decisions . A project bike is very likely though.

Typical.
I've been wearing my Rukka trousers for the commute to work. Weather was supposed to be hot and dry today, so I've put my leather jeans on.
Forecast says it's going to rain this afternoon
