Hello dogbot!
Seeing as you're local-ish to myself, where abouts do you ride? Wondering if I may have seen you out and about near Usk, Abergavenney

Re: Introductions - Say "Hello" Here
Sort of, yeah. Mostly my trips into Wales are the standard Chepstow - Tintern - Monmouth run then out towards the Forest of Dean, but I've looped round the other way a few times, towards Usk. Not for a while, though.Cav wrote:Hello dogbot!

We tend to do a few Wales runs when the weather warms up. Most of this lot go into hibernation from October.

Ah okay.. something you might like is the Skenfrith road between Ross-on-Wye and Abergavenney.. very nice B-road
The Tintern road is so busy with Traffic I avoid it like the plague, the Usk Roads are much quieter albeit not as nice scenery down there.
I'm looking forward to a Welsh shakedown run of the bike!

Yeah, honestly I haven't been on the Tintern road in about 2 years, because last time it was just covered in slow moving squids in branded gear and big "fast" bikes. Sigh. I prefer the Monmouth > Forest of Dean > Gloucester bit of that route nowadays.Cav wrote:Ah okay.. something you might like is the Skenfrith road between Ross-on-Wye and Abergavenney.. very nice B-road

Tbh, scenery is a bonus, but it's not really what I'm there for. Any recommendations appreciated.

I'll have a look at some routes when the ice goes from the roads.

Re: Introductions - Say "Hello" Here
Hi folks,
Just signed up for the new site. I was on the old site as Hoodlum but haven't been active for a number of years after falling out with bikes for a bit. Think I was last on here about 2008/9 maybe a bit later.
Back on now though after getting myself a nice Sprint ST at tail end of last year.
I live up in Scotland with my wife and two kids, 8 and 10. As well as biking, I waste my spare time cycling and doing karate.
Bike wise I had a Bandit for a couple of years after passing my test in 2002 then fell in love with my old Daytona 650, (in yellow which everyone knows was the fast one). Nothing since then until recently.
Off to Black Forrest and B500 in June. Looking forward to spending a lot of time getting my ass re-intimated with the saddle.
Looking forward to sharing in some bike related banter on here again.

Hi there and welcome watch out last time Kwacky rode me he put me in hospital and I had to tell everyone I had a bike accident. He's a ruff boy.
"80mph" sorry officer I possibly could not have done that I'm no Valentino Rossi.

Welcome 20th member hood to see you black.
B500 and black forest is epic. Been twice and some great roads in the area but be careful on the B500 can catch you out in places and been some nasty accidents.

Re: Introductions - Say "Hello" Here
Cheers guys.
I'll hopefully be OK Blade, only problem might be getting distracted by the fantastic scenery. We've git a mix of bikes, even a Harley so speed won't be an issue.
