Morrisons are offering 3500 temp jobs to cope with the demand. They're also doing more deliveries, bespoke food parcels, a call center just for deliveries and giving full sick pay to staff.

I made out a grocery-list this morning.....supposedly Amazon are going to deliver all my stuff by late afternoon. I've only ever bought food this way once before, many years ago, so I'll see how it goes.

Latest development with getting to work.

In an effort to negate having to isolate for 2 weeks once I get home from offshore, the company has secured a workers accomm village in Darwin. On arriving in Darwin I’ll be health screened at the airport, transported on a sterilised bus to the village. For the first week of my 3 week swing I will be under strict quarantine and daily health checks at the village then flown to work for my last two weeks.

While at work we now have a social distancing policy we have to adhere too, and once again daily health assessments and temperature screening.

They haven’t outright said we will be exempt isolation on return but I think these measures are being presented to the govt in application of an exemption.

Fingers crossed

Sky sports are letting people cancel their sports packages, which seems fair enough

The Government intends to alter the drivers hours regs to allow for drivers to work longer. I've not seen how much longer they can work for.

Black cab taxi drivers are going to ask for a temporary change to their licences to allow them to deliver goods.

Fair comment, I watched his reply to McDonnell and he sounded like he'd taken quite a bit of it on board. Fingers crossed.

Brits likely to be banned from EU due to the lack of restrictions. The irony.
