At this stage I think Putin might be happy just destroying Ukraine and leaving

Yep.... that may or may not have been his initial goal, but it just might well end up being the only result.

There's drone footage of a car driver stopping his car near some Russians. He gets out and puts his arms up.
They shoot him then drag his body into some bushes.
There's supposedly a child and woman in the car. They've not been found. The car has, burnt out.

As awful as that is, that sort of stuff has happened in every war many many times on every side.
I'm still really struggling to work out what his end game is, maybe it's just fully reconciling the Crimea and bringing Luhansk and Donetsk back into the block.
My gut feeling is he's going to try and hold everything east of the Dnieper River, which would be ironic as it would split Kyiv down the middle just like Berlin.

Ukraine saying they'll never be offered membership of NATO. I hope they're not backing down now.

I think they've seen that NATO is too scared of a nuclear war to do anything other than watch Russia do as it likes.

As it stands. Not much in the way of Ukraine counter attacks. Russia is making progress but it's slow.

Mariupol theatre has been bombed several times today.
It was being used as a shelter for civilians.
The theatre stood alone. Hitting it was no accident.

Current Russian demands in the "peace" talks

I doubt they would consider these demands.... The world needs to rid this man, it will not stop here. Time for the world to unite and make a stand.

They 'demand' ! Demilitarisation. Russia can walk in when it feels like it! I see no word on ridding Ukraine of fascism as that's what this war is over, is it not? I'd tell the Russians to feck the feck out of my country, pay for rebuilding our cities, pay each family that has lost a member to Russian murder compensation and go rot in hell.

Was talking to the guy I work closely with today about the conflict.
I'm really struggling to understand the lack of intervention from the UK, US, EU, or combined NATO bodies. Other conflicts in the world and they have tripped over each other to get involved. I could buy a financially motivated reason, but for the whole world to be involved seems a stretch too far. There has to be a story that we're not being told? But what

NATO is shit scared of a nuclear war. Which in my opinion makes NATO almost redundant.
USA has agreed to send a massive number of SAMs and loitering drones as well as more anti tank weapons and funding.
US tanks have been spotted pouring into Poland.

The thing is the west is funding the Ukrainians with weapons. Surely we're involved!? What must Pukin think about this? I think we should take it to him with a no fly zone. He needs stopping so call his bluff. If we don't he'll keep on bullying. I really want to see him suffer.

Putin has got a lot of support in Russia.
I say we shut the country out. If it means a new cold war then so be it.

But surely if his army and country isn't 100% behind him, then the simple answer is assassination and manipulate the placement of the incoming.
And out of personal preference, I would prefer a spectacular blow the **** of the face of the planet kind of assassination.

And if there is a deal will the west lift the sanctions on Russia? I hope not. They've gone too far for forgiveness.

I agree the world will not be the same again, Putin must pay from his crimes. I feel sorry for the Russian people as well, so many stories of families falling out as they do not believe what is going on! and falling out with the families not in Russia.
I wonder if Putin would have made this move if the unstable Trump was still in power ?

Putin was hoping Trump was getting a second term.
Don't forget that Trump was talking about pulling USA out of NATO and withdrawing armed forces support for Europe.
