Thanks for the advice Perkles I'll make sure they do that.

Monty it's a specific one of the set they're short on. 44065-0039 'bushing front fork' so I'm trying to find that on eBay etc.

If not then it's 10-day back order waiting time and then fitting in mid-July. Hence me asking.

P.S. Perkles works for the robotics side of Kawasaki.
I've thought of that yet they've done everything to help when others wouldn't so as it's such a nigglely thing I'm happy to get it done and not go down that route to be fair Kwacky.

Good question Duke63. I saw those on eBay yet didn't know if those or these https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/121710620954" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; were the right ones. I'll ask P&H today when I pick up my bike.

Thinking now I'm going to buy the bushes and seals (I presume it makes sense to change these at the same time) and get it done by a local mechanic. I can't wait up to 5 weeks!

I've heard it's best to change the fork oil to a heavier type, can anyone recommend a the best grade?

Thanks.

Call or email Opie Oils, they should be able to help. Plus you get a forum discount ("slap" is the code). I think 15w is the medium/heavy grade. but I'm not sure what Kwak put in as standard.

Call Tom at MCT, they will have notes on your bike on their system. They are always happy to chat.

When I spoke to him I think he said my bike needed more compression damping.

Yeah part of me is thinking to get booked in with them to do the whole lot, change the bushes, do the oil, set it up for me etc. I'll call them and see what they say.

Sadly I think they will say September!

But it would make sense, see if you can get the cash out of Jordan now.

Yeah P&H Kawasaki guys say it's not safety related so I can ride the bike yet really wanted it sorted Monty for when we come up. So think I'll get them to do it and then book in with MCT in September to get it set up to me.

They could do a 3-5 day turn around if I sent the forks though....

Yup...

Bushes should be in next week and the bike is booked in to do the work on the 16th July!!!!!

Yet...

Spoke with Nick at Jordanbikes, the owner, and he is on the look out in the interim for another bike for me.
I'm thinking either 899 or 1199 and head on back to Ducati ownership, yet we shall see.

Yet more...
If i sell it myself im likely to get a further grand more than i bought it for, as i bought it at a good price, so might do that once fixed.

This would set a new record. Not time of ownership, but actual mileage recorded!

You should open your own dealership Cornish. You've got more experience on buying and selling than half the dealers out there! And then you can have a different bike each day :D
