I think "Much Ado About Nothing" was done the same way, and had the added benefit of showcasing of incredible acting talents of Keanu Reeves, a noted Thespian.
I've seen that version with Keanu Reeves, but tbh thought that Denzel Washington was the stand out actor, really great screen presence, he's good in films, but awesome in that adaptation.

P.S. Worst role for Keanu had to be in Coppola's "Dracula" an English accent so ridiculous it eclipsed Dick Van Dyke's sterling effort in Mary Poppins.
Tell me you didn't think I was serious about Reeves......?? Can't stand that guy.....haven't seen many of his movies. TBH......"Bill & Ted's Adventure" was the only thing that suited him, 'cos they were filming an utterly crap movie, and knew they'd need an equally bad actor....and "Point Break" kinda worked, because no acting was involved.

Denzil Washington is always good.

Flicking channels right now and settled for a minute on CSPAN....the U.S. of Reps. is on.....AND THERE'S NO-ONE THERE!!!.....I'm sure I've seen this before....just a few people in The House congratulating each other on how utterly awesome they all are....this is just bizarre!!

I know they have other stuff to do and all that, and prolly don't show up in numbers unless something really significant is on the table, but this makes me wonder just what it is that they do....are they all back in their home states forging a path ahead for their constituents or sommit??

If memory serves, the Brit Parliament runs along similar lines but is WAAY more entertaining......HEAR, HEAR!!

Yeah....I'm not buying a graph chart as proof of anything, least of all income earned per annum....income paid to them by HM Govt...maybe, but not proof of what they take in in total from other sources...they'd be daft to not take advantage of all their free time to earn income via other sources.

Bear in mind also, that many of these MPs sit on various other boards and committees, all of which provide additional revenue for their piggy banks.

Sports relief. 3 well known people are loving rough for 5 days. It's clearly very tough but when they have been doing it for so long it's not very easy to get out of living outside and settling down into one place.

Those sort of programmes are bullshit. What you don't see are the back up crew and security round the corner.

Childhood's End. A mini TV series based loosely on the book by Arthur C Clarke.

Eh.....thought I had read all of Clarke's books but that one doesn't strike a chord at all...
TBH, I liked his collection of short stories more than anything.....The Sentinel stood out and eventually was expanded to become 2001

It's not one I've read either. I don't know anything about it apart from what I saw in the first episode last night.

It's been shown on Syfy so I presume you can watch all of it now if you want to.

OK.....yeah, read that one too....just forgot about it.....not one that appealed to me....usually if I read sci-fi I want it set on other planets or sommit....otherwise you end up with awful movies like "Battleship".

Oh yeah.....I'm watching a documentary about a bizarre primate named Oliver that walks round like a man, communicates extremely well with it's former 'owner' and other trippy stuff.....it's uncanny.....the thing is like a missing link.....by no means remotely human, but far more advanced than any other animal I've ever seen.

Confused of OC...

Ronin on DVD. I'd forgotten how good those car chases were - Mini Gee was very impressed.
