I can't disagree with most of that, but Kwacky hits the nail on the head. It's totally obscene to have that much money.Blade wrote:I personally don't see an issue with wealth, if its been earned honestly and people pay the correct share of all applicable taxes with no tax avoidance.
Why should the wealthly, who have honestly earned it pay, for others who haven't put in the same effort, risk or scarfice? Hard work should still pay rewards.
If people pay the correct taxes, then they have already fairly contributed massively to the benefit of everyone, by a hugely disproportionate amount, why expect them to pay more than their fair share?
I don't see why people who have honestly earned more, should be expected to give it away, as others are envious of their success and fruits of their labour.
Should Michael Phelps give me a Olympic Gold Medal, he doesn't need 23 of them, just give me one. No one, would expect that as he earned them and deserves them. Same goes for honestly earned wealth in my book. There shouldn't be an expectation they need to give it away.

But people are free to make their own choices and idolise whoever they like, and as such have to accept responbility for their choices.
Monty it is obscene amount, I agree and I have no admiration for the guy if he is not paying the correct taxes but for the entrpuerners out there who are I say well done.
Anyway time to eat and get more pissed. We will never fix the world have a nice bank holiday

Re: inequality, absolutely staggering!
If many more new the issues the kids have at the wife’s school they would be shocked.
In this shutdown she has to ring the parents/carers every three days to ensure the kids are ok....,in their own home environment. Many are not. They have had to get the police to rescue one 14yr old this week who ran away to go live with a group of druggies.
Their is no public services left now. School is doing the jobs of social services because social services no longer exists. As a result too much energy is being wasted in school on not actually teaching kids.
It’s shocking.
Yet every election seems to be all about not just not increasing taxes but reducing them.
It’s why we want to escape. Britain has become a mini USA.

I think Blade is confusing the merely rich and the staggeringly wealthy and remember for them to have more we must have less .

The problem with relying on Margaret Thatcher memes is that they're usually wrong.
Remember what I said earlier about the media telling you the lazy want to bleed you dry?
You've just fallen for it.

Re: inequality, absolutely staggering!
So what's the deal here, no-one is going to use Amazon anymore, is that it??
Because you can't really have it both ways..you can't really use the service, pay the money, and then wonder why the guy at the top of the food chain gets wealthy off it.
No-one is forced to use Amazon, they do it by choice. Don't like it? - then don't use it, and vote with your wallet instead.

It's more than likely there is going to be a hell if a lot of people out of work over the next few years, that is going to drive the political spectrum for the time being.
