Cheers for the link, nice stands.. But I fear for my genitalia should I mention buying a £300 + stand to Mrs Nutz

1 jac is expensive compared to its competitors. You can get other brands much more reasonably priced.

Reading the 675.cc thread it seems there is a reason the Chinese stands are cheaper.

Its not only the chinese ones that are cheaper.

Regards buying a stand I have 4 but always prefer using my Abba stand its just so stable and easy to use.

Its easy to make mistakes rushing I have done it a million times.

That JAC stand looks really good ... great idea

D6Nutz, the bike is quite manageable enough on the ABBA stand ... my bike sits quite close to a cupboard and its handle. Theres only an inch in the photo and it gets there by moving the bike while its on its stand ... id get closer if it wasnt for my golf bats

That's a cracking piece of kit! However I can't see it working properly in my garage with its stippled floor surface, but maybe a resurface is required. I have a cunning plan....

I think it's "pitched to be competitive with the 1jac" (and at the same time make us all feel rather poor )

I checked and it's just over £460 delivered for my 675 with the extras, which puts it in the same bracket as workshop style bike lifts, but it's much more versatile and takes up a smaller space in the garage, partial disassembly could reduce the space required even further. I am very impressed, should Mrs Gee feel generous at Christmas/Birthday I would consider myself a very lucky boy.

I couldn't agree more. And I have the same problem with the garage floor. WOuld be very interested in you cunning plan

I think a job for a warm summer weekend will involve borrowing a cement mixer and using Latex self-levelling compound to give me a nice level floor, the garage will need to be cleared and power washed first, but the result will be worth it. I may even use floor paint afterwards.

Interesting, want to do mine whilst you are at it? lol
