Re: 5G - yay or nay?
Most flagships are pushing £1000
Also, the fact these phones are costing more is not so good for the likes of Machine Tool companies and companies which make products for Machine Tools. People are keeping their phones for longer (36month contracts are a thing) which means fewer replacements, lower production numbers and smaller bonus for me this month
Obviously, it's better for the environment but it won't be long before Pixel 3As and S10es are outselling and out profiting the flagships so they will try to increase phone turnover again - bye bye environment

Re: 5G - yay or nay?
I use an old LG-something that came out of The Ark. It's compact & does everything I need....I don't even know what it cost me, but it wasn't much....couple of hundred dollars, maybe a bit more.
These new phones are the size of a chequebook....you can't hardly put them in your pocket, you need a holster.
Pretty soon we'll be back to walkie-talkie sized phones & call it "progress".

Pretty soon americans will have a chip implanted in them which enables in-body satellite navigation, in-body Google and you'll be able to export your bodily functions for the internet doctor to analyse.

Some US companies already chip their employees.

I like it. Some of the episodes are a bit weak but they all stand alone so you can quickly move on.
The one I watched yesterday was about a device you can wear which records all of your memories, so you can play everything back on a screen or to yourself.

apart from it recording your memories and being installed in your brain and you using your brain to edit and find items and having unlimited memory and not needing batteries and being able to watch play backs through your brain
yeah, identical.

Re: 5G - yay or nay?
I knew it!
What I was getting at was "images", because it seems to me that your mind is all pictures.....just as when I look at a photo you might post...say, from your trip to Japan - anyone could have taken that. When I look at a photo I've taken myself , it evokes a memory of much more than just an image, it brings back an experience.

No....I thought they were very good. I told you at the time you've got a good eye for angles. I can't take a decent photo to save my life.

Happiness is not a destination. It is a way of life.

Looks like he's had his sarcasm chip installed. He'll be detecting irony next!

Americans and their immigrants need a sarcasm and irony chip. They would have to import them though as they wouldn’t know where to start when making one.
