Re: This heatwave
I think if it does keep up much longer I might have to get a new vented textile jacket, my leathers have no venting on them and even my old textiles aren't great, but could be handy, although as soon as I do I know the weather will change haha

Re: This heatwave
When I went to get my furygan gear I tried on this little Dainese jacket, it was just mesh with armour, wasn't expensive but decided its never hot enough over here to need a jacket like that.....
Wish Id got it now haha

Re: This heatwave
I tried one of those on once & just found it very finicky to put on & take off. I see someone wearing one & just think "stuntah" or "L.A. bike-club moron".
Could see them working for off-road.

Re: This heatwave
I know what your talking about, this was much more like a normal jacket, less a vest with some armour sewn on, just very thin light weight materialD41 wrote:I tried one of those on once & just found it very finicky to put on & take off. Yeah....I looked them up & they do seem a fair bit more substantial than the ones I had in mind.

Re: This heatwave
Proper rain here this afternoon.
I was on the M62 when it started, & some muppet ahead slowed to about 10mph.!!!
I was about 4-5 cars back and in my Vito, so managed the 60mph speed reduction easily enough.
The cars in front also coped, just.,
However somewhere behind me there was a shunt as a result.
It was too far back for me to stop & assist, so I just continued my journey, soon passing the instigator who was still crawling along at 10-15mph & oblivious of the crash that she had undoubtedly caused (imho).

Re: This heatwave
32.5 degrees on the car when I left work today
Apparently cooler here tomorrow and a chance of rain. Will be odd if I have to drive the car with the roof up..

Re: This heatwave
Don't worry guys the heatwave is ending! I bit the bullet and ordered a new summer jacket so now it will stop and I won't need it and it will have been a waste of money.
God I'm good to you lot!

Re: This heatwave
No I will not complain about this weather. Ok we get humid heat but I'd rather that than what we get for the other 11 months of the bloody year. I'm sure we didn't get a good summer last year so this year making the most of it!! Let it continue in my opinion

Re: This heatwave
Last year summer was on a Tuesday.
It’s great I’m loving it. The only problem I have with it is I’ve spent most of it working or doing jobs.
