Me giving up on trying to get to the other side of Kent today...Hours and hours of delays on the traffic reports, did not fancy another long hold up in the snow

I'm eating a massive bowl of ice cream right now in a show of solidarity with you guys.

But yeah....a bit chilly here right now too. I hate this time of year.

Perfect weather for the push bike.. more road users will be paying attention to the road rather than their phones.

I walked 15mins to my lift share, it's very cold on your face !!

Our town is at the end of 2.5 mile road with a couple of decent hills on it, 6” of snow this morning has left it closed, due to previously forecast snow, a total lack of gritting or snowploughs and the inevitable accidents.

I tried to get out at 6am only to end up as part of a team that was pushing cars and vans up the hill, after pushing 5 of them up the road, the Police shut the road due to an accident further back. Currently sipping a cuppa looking at a sea of red on google maps..... (facepalm)

I'm in Surrey ATM so have got to work out when to go back to France, hopefully early tomorrow but will have to watch the weather - they had a lot of snow in Kent yesterday...

About 2" overnight and this morning, my snow tyres proved themselves, happy to finally get some proper use out of them.

We had an 8 inch dump just after I dropped the kids off this morning. Got home to a text saying they we're closing the school at 12pm. Took me over two hours to pick them up, every main road in and out of Buxton blocked by jack knifed lorries and tankers. Quite a few accidents and I even found a transit van upside down!

Still snowing on and off here, and will continue to do so until late this evening apparently, fingers crossed I can get to work in the morning as I’ve been stuck at home due to snow problems and blocked roads.

Not as bad as Monty but a good 6 inch of snow here today. Comes in bursts. Clear blue skies one minute then white out blizzard with 30 yard visilbilty the next.

Level access front doors are shite. Open the front door and 6 inch of snow drift falls in (gah)
