Its about making money first and foremost, not entertaining the public. It will never be as exciting as bike racing anyway.

That was poor yesterday. Nothing happened. Nothing at all. It on the TV when I was doing other things so fortunately I didn't lose part of my life watching it.

A load of boring laps.

Verstappen and Riccardo were entertaining but the rest was (as usual) a procession.

I'm a massive fan, but have to admit this year really sucks. Hopefully next years changes will help, bigger tyres, more aero and the cars will be 5 to 6 seconds faster. Plus they're bringing back refuelling but keeping the 100kg fuel limit.

Not me! The kids hate it and I get to lie down on the settee for 3 hours on my own every other week! No way I'm giving that up!

How many times in the last 20 years have they changed the tyre and refuelling rules to try and mix things up?

I tell you what they need to do, limit the number of people working for each team on a race day. Get rid of some of the tactics and leave it to the driver to work out when to race or pit. All this " you need to put 0.12seconds on in the next 4 laps so when you pit you come out in front of so-and-so" is taking some of the fun out of it. I don't like team orders. There's too much tech in the cars. Allow refuelling so the drivers can go for it.

I could go on...... (lol)

Or the drivers change their own wheels in a pitstop. That'd put them under pressure. Not that I watch it of course. To me it's about as interesting as watching golf or MotoGP/WSB/BSB. Yawn...

No pitstops unless drivers need to, one single ECU for all cars, drivers only allowed to see out of one eye. That would make it interesting.

bring back a proper H pattern box and a clutch and give them enough fuel to actually race .

Give the cars 1400bhp, more mechanical grip, less downforce, tyres that aren't designed to fall apart and allow them to treat it like a sprint race.

It's the Aero that ruins overtaking IMO..

I like the KERS stuff, it's the modern equivalent to the turbo boost in the 80's/90's??

I think it's the length of time it goes on for...it feels like a whole day they just go around and around...I understand that it's technical and physically demanding and their reaction speeds are ridiculously quick but dam that's not enough to keep me entertained!

That's probably my biggest gripe, drivers having to saving tyres and fuel. It's should be a sprint to the finish, but it never will be as the direction of F1 is led by the manufacturers. They want to use and develop technologies that are relevant to the real world hence all the KERS etc and fuel limits.

On the plus side when all this stuff does filter down we're going to see some amazing hybrid cars on the road, and I don't mean just the stupidly expensive super cars.

I agree to a point, Monty but they clearly haven't got to grips with the whole environmental side of things as they designed the tyre to deliberately fall to pieces!!!

Give them proper tyres, no refueling but give them enough to make monstrous power (150kg rather than 100kg for example) and let them go balls out!!

Totally agree....it should be like bike racing....one tank of fuel and that's it. I know in NASCAR & CART there's a flow-restrictor, and you're only allowed to fuel the vehicle for the time it takes to make the tyre switch....and that's actually fair enough, as you're wasting fuel as the car idles, so I can understand it.

But yeah...car racing is as boring as watching paint dry...and takes roughly the same amount of time.

Thankfully it keeps some of the beer-swillin' Sunday drivers at home....every cloud, and all that...

Ha! You beat me to it. I was going to post the same thing.

The rain meant it was better to watch than usual, even limiting myself to the highlights I could only manage half an hour.

I forgot to mention, nice touch for Massa when he walked along the pits after his crash.
