What was the point of a national referendum and all its expense if we're not going to accept the outcome.

I lost count of the amount of times the word indicative was used during the campaign - it was an indication.

This all sounds very good to me as i doubt parliament would vote for it

Yes I did thanks. I just think the country has voted so the government should act upon the result and now put in place the correct legal process to do such.

That's a really good read. Basically what it argues is that the Tories won't go back on the decision to leave the EU, because they can use the result in their favour. If we're out of the EU then we can ignore a lot of what the common man would call the "red tape" of business. To you and me that means workers rights, ethical trading, environmental issues.

The Conservative Party has a free hand to rewrite the way we do business and a free hand to support those who run businesses. For instance the announced reduction in corporation tax from 20% to 15% means that there's going to be a shortfall in government income. Guess who'll bear the brunt?

Farcical from start to end. they didn't even think the legality of the referendum and the process after it internally, let alone actually leaving. Useless.

Monty I come on here for bike chit chat mainly although rather stupidly have found myself getting sucked into politics mainly as the topic on here has got very one sided regards leaving the EU. Which is ironic really as the TS poll had more people out than in so I thought it worthwhile adding some balance to the discussion to help represent everyone's opinion on TS.

Im not going to argue over every little issue or political issues like my life depended on it so I'll bow out gracefully thank you. Life is too short.

I wonder if the EU will offer Britons the opportunity to apply for an EU passport? If they do i wonder how many Britons would take it up to continue receiving the benefits EU membership offers them?

Germany have said that they will offer dual citizenship to those Brits working in Germany who want to remain.

If someone offered me EU citizenship and the benefits that go with it, i would take it too.

Not that i am in a position to be offered it mind.
