Balls

Lines changed and bled well this morning. Lever firm.

Move the bike forwards a metre - lever loses all pressure. Same as before.

I'm going to have a cry and then strip the callipers properly i think. Then its an MC refurb.

I'll take the MC off this afternoon and likely order a kit. I just have to keep replacing until it works, very frustrating.

The clutch on my VFR750 was doing this until I refurbished the MC. It's a piece of piss to do.

It is frustrating but at least it's being done now and not when you're out on the road. You've got peace of mind that the braking system is updated and effectively brand new. Plus you know it wont' need doing again for a long time.

I bloody hope not. I'm sure you are right - it needs to be spot on.

I've ordered an MC refurb kit. Bike is back under its cover in the garage in disgrace

brakes felt shit on mine on sunday (Spongy) ,I think they need a bleed and maybe some braided hoses
Kwacky is likely to try and talk me into some kind of bling MC but my wallet aint having it

Cookie, it's only an idea, but if the brakes are great until you move the bike, is there a possibility that one of the discs is warped and has excess run-out - which pushes the pads/pistons back when you move the bike?

It has crossed my mind. Thing is the bike was fine last year all the way until it was put away.

If the MC refurb doesn't work i may have to consider it

Well after much swearing at circlips and rubber seals, I've completed the MC refurb.

Its no different

This is getting silly now. I'm going to strip the callipers and take out the pistons this time and rebuild them, then if thats not the problem i guess it must be the discs. Silly thing is the discs were fine before the winter.

I've taken the front wheel off and unbolted the brake disks to have a proper look. One of them is bent. Properly bent. No way was that disc like that last year before the end of the season. Therefore the useless twunt who came to ours and replaced the tyres in Feb has bent it along with scratching god knows how many parts of the wheel. I thought it took him a long time.

The MC and lines needed doing because of the age of the bike, I'm just pissed off now the tyre bloke was an idiot and has cost time and money tbh.

Two EBC disks ordered. Running out of time to get this bike roadworthy for the France trip - easy fit when the come mind due. At least its like or better than new if this works

Going to try and claim off tyre dickhead now.
