Good review. Sadly typical of track days over the last few years.

Sounds like you had fun anyway but I do wonder why they let some people near a track. The guy who lost a sump? Knob.

Can't believe people are crashing in pitlane and not tightening sumps. These people are a danger to everyone else and should be shot.

Gutted to hear that blade mate. Some loonies about lately with no idea of mechanical wear and tear and even worse just general knowledge about safety and always checking your bike. When racing my dad always checks the bike thoroughly every time I come in no matter what. Safety is paramount when riding motorbikes

If you crash in pitlane I think really you should not be riding a bike.

And to have two bikes at a trackday and neither of which works properly but one of which should have been checked and corrected the night before with just a spanner, should also say the same.

Sadly I've met and had days messed up by people like Mr Dick, they're usually the guys that have spent big money on quick bikes and have no idea on fixing small problems or riding them properly, they're also a pig to get past if they're in your group fast as f**k down the straight, but virtually stop on the twisties, I heard them described as "Corner Campers" by Tony Scott (Triumph Triple Challenge founder) some years back which is about right i think.
They are a pita tbh.

Love your write up Blade. Feels like your there when reading through it.

Why would someone give it the beans on new cold tyres! What an idiot!
Mr Dick needs to be banned from the circuit that could of ended nastily. Just don't understand the stupidness of him, surely he should of been checking his bike fully BEFORE the day, clearly he didn't even check his bike ON the bloody day.

As for the poor bloke who got air lifted really hope he Is OK but I fear that is prob unlikely if he wasn't able to be treated at the circuits facility.

But on the up side does sound like you and Andy had a cracking day, seems like you guys have pulled this spare of the moment day off

Loved the paragraph on how the bike felt while racing around. That thing bloody shifts!!
