The recent mcn group test on YouTube really rates the ten but say it's massively over geared
At least it's a comparatively cheap fix ,I went up two teeth on the rear of the rc8 and it feels better for it
I like the sound of a hard revving bike it sounds exciting to ride

Having to rev a 1000 I Have some spare Pampers that you can have blade :-P
Is there a power band in the range or a big surge of power or is it all quite linear

Quite linear until you get above 10000 rpm when things go compelety bonkers berserk
I think I need to do some more research I this area

Blinking hell is 2nd really good for 126?! Definitely sort the gearing, I like revving hard but like to have a change of gear here and there!!

Yes 2nd is genuienly good for 126 mph which is pretty pointless on a powerful road bike.
Will fit the new sprocket asap and update the thread.

Well that £14 front sprocket ended up costing me £90 as needed to buy an impact wrench to get the old one off.
Tried all the tricks without an impact wrench with zero success. In the end I bought a Clarke cew1000 and its a monster, 450nm of torque. Took the but off in seconds.

Mike did tell me that kwak front sprockets are a PITA to remove.

Honda ones are a different fastening arrangement and torqued to 65 NM the Kwak one is torqued upto145 Nm but with no thread lubricant on the threads it was seized solid I was putting well more than that on it using a 2ft breaker bar and it wasn't moving a nat's cock.
Ive wanted an impact wrench for a while and you can never have too many tools

Its a beast though and quite scary to use

Just to update I've made quite a few changes.
New sprockets fitted.
Arrow exhaust fitted
Ohlins shock fitted with a little ride height added.
Static and rider sag set up + backed of the front compression a fraction.
New tyres fitted.
Lowered the foot pegs.
Improved the action of the gear change linkage.
Repostioned the levers.
Some significant changes and a few minor tweaks buy hoping they all have a positive effect. Just need some decent weather and it's time for a road test.

No I had 2 runs on them and didn't really like them. I had them years ago on the sp and was never a fan then and with things moving on in tyre and technology and 60bhp more to control there not ideal IMO.
I had a set of gp racers I bought last year for the Blade and never fitted so whilst changing sprockets I got my mate to stick the gp racers on.
I'll eBay the pilot powers they iwe me nothing.
You had a run out on the m7's yet ?
