Renting isn't a bad idea. No idea how much for 2 days though.

I have used my S1000rr, twice in Almeria, and once in Cartagena, I suppose it all depends on how hard you want to push. I am never gonna get the lap record, I just wanted to have fun running my bike on track. That would have been lots of dosh to throw down the road!

Being The Spain trip, open pit lane for 7 hours a day, a total of 54 riders, who are never on track all at the same time, you have space, and like minded people around. You will not get bad manners on track. So riding your pride and joy is very safe IMO.

UK track days, well that's a different matter.

Had 2 sets of scrubbed super corsas recently both have been great tyres. I have used them on track with out Warmers and have just scrubbed them back on the road they are all ok. The rsv is defiantly hard on rear tyres it must be to do with the toque it's putting down out of corners. I would always try on some were like moto forum for scrubs and then move to eBay you can tell from pics how hard a tyre has been used just compare a few .

In all probablity I'm likely to use the kwak.

I've got two sets of plastics at present. If the worst happens I've got a replacement set to use. The question is do I put hte new plastics on over winter when I've got the time and keep the old plastics until after the euro track day or do I wait? The downside to that is having to take the bike off the road for a few weeks while I swap everything over.

Personally I would keep the old ones on for winter and track day. Sods law says something will happy if you put the new ones even if they are only marked in transit getting the bike to Spain.

It will only take a couple of hours to swap the panels over tops.

If they get marked being sent to spain they owe me a new set.

And don't forget I haven't got a garage. I haven't even got room to store the panels. The ones I bought are still in the boot of my car. So it takes a lot longer than 2 hours to remove the old plastics and put the new ones on.

Nothing at present. It's very hard for me to do anything with the bike at present while I'm still using it and at work all day. It'll have to be a winter project.

If anyone want ex race scrubs, drop me an email, I have a growing pile of the things in my garage lol
Most of the rears have done one weekends racing plus maybe a session at BSB first (if I bought them as scrubs) fronts have mainly done 2 weekends plus a possible BSB session.
I can also probably lay my hands on some that have only done one session at BSB too, including slicks ;-) if you want something newer than whats in my garage

Funny after looking at this thread I went in to work today to be given a set of theseImage
Completely free they are from the race team we run with Alex Olsen in BSS, only problem is it's the wrong time of year for these really lol, might save them for next summer, but was just coz my boss noticed my rear was on its way out he gave em to me, top man!

Cool, hopefully will get a bit easier when you've been there a couple of months.
