Because you tend to find that those who sell the more expensive properties are more demanding as clients and the agents spend a lot more time with them.
Plus the larger houses get worked more and the put larger adverts in the papers so they can sell them. That larger commission is earned and it's an incentive to sell your property.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Well I asked the agents who valued our house last year and they were all reputable, established agents and they quite openly said they did nothing extra for the extra money. They all but agreed it was unreasonable but saids that's the way it is so just accept it.
I think there clutching at straws to justify the rip off by saying for thousands of pounds more in fees you get a bigger picture in the local free paper.

All I know is what my wife tells me and what I see her having to do outside of normal office hours for these larger properties.

Nice pic.
I took the dog out today to see how he was with one of those dog ball throwing arms. You know the ones, the plastic things that let you pick up the ball without getting slobber all over you and let you throw it for miles with minimal effort.
Chuffing heck, that dog is fast!

Back to work today (dull)
It was nice to get out of the house though. Friends over for dinner tonight, was meant to be yesterday but I had a tummy bug combined with a hangover.

Been for a nice family walk at a national trust park near us. Spent the morning searching for deer's and then went to the restaurant and ate one in a nice stew with their own ale, very nice it was too.

I use a tennis racket now, easier on my rotator cuff.

Those things will go for frickin' miles.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Went out with my dog too and found a fire in the middle of the woods. Heard all the crackling and popping through the whole woods not knowing what it was so decided to investigate. when I saw it I was about to call the fire brigade but noticed lots of people gathering fire wood. I approached th realised they were all of the older generation and gathered they weren't just thugs! When I got talking to them they turned out to be a bunch of volunteers who help maintain the woods and were cutting down planned areas of woodland to be able to see the lake. The lake is enclosed in a wooded area and you wouldn't really notice it was there at all. They made me aware the fire brigade knew what was going on already!!

**just so people are aware I took the pic of the fire after I was told what was happening...I did not take the photo before!

Re: What are you doing today ??
I can see why they do it. They said there was a lot of low bushes (can't remember what they are called) but they basically aren't very nice and just stop anything g else growing so they had to get rid of that plus making the area to be able to see the lake. Gave me a freight of my life when I saw it at first haha

Watched 'The Godfather'. I bought the bluray box set for myself for Xmas as I have never seen the films (I don't know why)
Great film, 3 hours mind.
I can't wait to watch the next two now.
