Re: What are you doing today ??
But it spews out happy juice!
Wired in the wifi smart power outlet and installed the coffee machine. As it has a boiler, takes 30 mins to warm up. I already get up at 5.45am to make Jess a coffee, so be f**ked if I’m getting up at 5.15 am to turn the machine on. The smart plug lets me set a schedule, and also can be voice activated or switched on from my phone. Gotta love a gadget!
Dialled in the beans and pulled my first shot. Bloody amazing. Definitely a huge step up from the old machine.
Made Byron a hot chocolate, seems I need to relearn how to stretch milk as this one is 3-4 times the steam power and I just made a frothy mess, but he reckoned it still tasted great.
Happiness is not a destination. It is a way of life.

Between 2 and 6 weeks apparently, depends on how busy they are.kiwikrasher wrote:How long till you get results and answers?

Taking my Son to pre-school, going to my Wife's Midwife appointment with her, collecting my serviced forks and then I stalling it.
Turns out my bottom steerer bearing had seized from dirt ingress. A dose of isopropyl alcohol, and a sacrificial amount of grease to push the old crap through saw it ready for a final dose of degrease and reassembly. The front end feels brand new

Re: What are you doing today ??
I walked out of work this morning to find this on my car. This is in the company car park so it is not accessible to the public, we have key cards for the barriers.

The CCTV caught it, the guy knows he did it, he checked his bumper then just walked into work like nothing happened.
Management have to get involved because it's private property and I don't want to go through insurance because my car has a WBAC value of £2K so they would most likely write it off and bump up my premiums for the privilege
Tonight should be fun, I will hopefully get an idea of what's happening next. Once I figure that out I might get the T-Cut out and see how much of this will polish out.

Imagine doing this to someone and saying nothing. The fact you work with them takes up another level.
I hope they get a bollocking

That's a bullshit approach to life.. always own your actions.
Hopefully it's an easily rectified situation.

Aside from the evident stupidity & lack integrity displayed by the perpetrator ( not volunteering his guilt straight away, when he was bound to be discovered), but you work for a company of professional drivers don't you Stonesie ? -That display of his driving ability doesn't exactly inspire confidence in his available skillset does it ??Stonesie wrote: ↑07 Jun 2024, 19:40 I walked out of work this morning to find this on my car. Having a couple of beers with my step dad. I would have been my mum's birthday this week so I said we'll have a catch up and raise a glass.

He's one of the warehouse staff, the way the trailers are loaded is laughable sometimes.StMarks wrote: ↑08 Jun 2024, 08:40

Re: What are you doing today ??
I got the polish and an old foam pad from a headlight restoration kit and spent some time...

Maybe I'm too nice but I've told the guy not to worry about it, it's 98% and another polishing session might improve it further so he's lucky he didn't hit a greedy SOB.

Work outing today.
Went up to London with the family and spent the afternoon on a Thames cruise boat. They provided a BBQ and work paid for an open bar. It was a nice afternoon and my first proper work do in about 15 years

You’ve done an amazing job on that! He owes you a six pack of your favourite at a minimum!

Re: What are you doing today ??
Waking up to find out our bridges are open again! Once again we got flooded in for the weekend. Had planned to help friends move house and go into the city for Vivid. So a selfish part of me enjoyed being stuck home, pottering around the yard, doing a few odd jobs on the Mrs car while teaching her son stuff as I did it, getting the fire roaring, and settling down to some mulled cider in the evenings.

Super-cleaning my MTB and re-re-re-adjusting the stupid disc brakes. Again.
I think I managed to get them squared away. Finally.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Met up with my soon-to-be ex-wife to have coffee & go over some stuff. This divorce has taken years but the end is in sight.
I was stressing like hell beforehand, because I also had to tell her about you know, a child she never knew I had, etc....fun stuff like that.
She took it well, in fact she thought it was hilarious. She's a gem.
