Got the RSV out and gave it a wash after the last run to stow. God it was filthy..
Then as the sun was trying to fight through I took it out for a quick spanking. The roads where surprisingly dry, and the grip levels quite good. Came back with a stupid grin on my face, I love having a bike.

The roads aren't cold which helps. A couple of weeks ago I was really struggling for grip. Last week was a different story.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Spent most of today in the garage replacing the clip-ons for the Ducabike adjustable bars.
Got the bars on now and the old ones off which was a bigger job than anticipated as though the Ducati clip on clamps undo completely the new ones had to be slipped over the fork tube as they don't. This meant i had to remove the front wheel and drop the forks through the top yokes to slip the new ones over the forks.
Now debating whether to replace the clutch master cylinder as well for a newer Brembo one but they seem very difficult to find in the UK. Anyone know who sells them? The usual places don't list Brembo clutch masters only brake masters.

Hmmm. You can get a Brembo RCS clutch master. Might be a bit too much for yours?duke63 wrote:Spent most of today in the garage replacing the clip-ons for the Ducabike adjustable bars.

What about one of the ducati dealers? They might have a good second hand?

Duke try this link. Offer him £200 that's what I paid. He is a Honda main dealer in Latvia so as their in the EU no import duty to pay and.much cheaper than anywhere in the uk. He delivered in about 2 days and great service.
It's a really good piece of kit and the clutch action is much lighter.

Cheers, Blade. I had looked at them but couldn't decide how genuine they were. Their website seems OK though.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Yes probably, Blade. Just making sure that is the right option for me and not going to cause any issues with fitting.
Asked a few questions from those who know about these things as the ratios on Ducati dry clutches are unusual and messing with them too much can cause clutch slip or excessive lever travel and i want to make sure that the RCS wont create those problems.

Should be OK as brembo list it as a compatible item but your right to check.

Re: What did you do to your bike today ??
Carbon belly pan arrived from Germany this morning, so been out in the cold cave, gas fire heater full on, not long until it was very toasty.
Now some may say that fitting this kind of thing to a naked bike defeats the object of a naked bike, I dont care I think it looks the Dogs.
I am just having a quick bowl of porridge then its out for a little blast to make sure all is ok.

So an hours ride created 2 hours of cleaning, she is now covered up, chained up and is not going to move until the roads are better. Not a great picture but you get the idea of the new look
