Brexit means brexit. It's a keepsake of how fooking gullible some people are.
I might wash it though

No, It'll be there EU's fault. The Tories will only ever believe they delivered what the people wanted, regardless of the lies and bullshit they had to peddle to get them to believe that's what they wanted.duke63 wrote:i wonder if next year the Tories will do a 'We **** Britain' campaign?

The good thing about Brexit is no matter how you voted we're all going to be winners.

Re: Brexit thread
Tick Tock. Not long now before Wetherspoons up and down the land will be full of revellers celebrating the release of the nazi EU shackles that have held this glorious country back for so long.
We'll just ignore the next 11 months where we're bound by 11 rules and regulations without having any say in the matter.
CHARGE FORWARD TO FREEDOM MY COMRADES!

I’m thinking of visiting the doctors next week to use up some of that extra £350 million they will have from Friday.

Place i worked at today, their turnover is down 30% over the last ten months compared to the year before. And the work they are quoting for, everyone wants cash savings made but they don't want any cuts in the work. Difficult times.

Britain will be great again, we are the heart of Europe's car manufacturing. We'll export and make a mint.

2... and that starts with an ambitious free trade agreement with Europe - one that guarantees all automotive products can be bought and sold without tariffs or additional burdens,"
Now that's a great idea.

Re: Brexit thread
I don't believe that anyone is/was against a trading union , I think that most people that voted leave objected to the closer political union .

Re: Brexit thread
Apologies. I keep forgetting that everyone who voted Leave knew what they were voting for.
I have seen a recent swing on Twitter from Leavers along the lines of what Jack says. So there's already a clear move from a hard "no deal is the best deal" to a much softer approach to Brexit.

Throughout the entire history of mankind people have fought and died for the right to govern themselves , this time we have been fortunate to be able to do it by democratic means .

But we (by that I mean the ordinary people) are not governing ourselves. We have been hoodwinked into accepting a harder, poorer life.

Re: Brexit thread
This is what I struggle with: the suggestion that everything was out of our own hands. We've got an elected government. We've got a sovereign house. We have our laws, our courts, our customs. Despite what the press will tell you, it is incredibly rare for the EU Courts to interfere. Close to 99% of the cases in the EU courts relate to trade and business.
So I am very interested to know what changes people hope to see once we're able to govern ourselves.
