Re: What are you doing today ??
I'm so glad I took today and tomorrow off work!
Today there is zero planned so we will go with the flow at whatever pace we choose.
Tomorrow we are hoping to go to Mallards Pike in the Forest of Dean. Its a beautiful spot to take your dogs with a lake for them to swim in too. It'll be lovely to have lunch and get some pictures.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Today and tomorrow off work so today is a free day, going to the local J&S to pick up some nikwax to wash my gear for a ride tomorrow. Then the weekly shopping trip.
My neighbour wants a ride tomorrow to bed in new tyres on his tractor so I'm thinking Spurn point, I've never been so why not.

Re: What are you doing today ??
I saw my first ever commercially available electric bike yesterday , looked the part and went well enough but it topped out at 125mph , why do these machines not have a gearbox or some form of gearing to allow a faster final speed ?
It was on a trackday and it was comparing very favourably to litre and 600cc race bikes until it got on the longer straights when it ran out of oomph and they sailed by ,

Re: What are you doing today ??
totally agree with you there, no sound apart from the tyre noise on the tarmac , ripping through a sleepy rural village at 8am on sunday won't be the same in the future .

Feeling a sense of massive relief. My daughter got the A level results she needed for her first choice. She's off to Gloucester to do forensic psychology.

That plan fell through, we went to Derbyshire and Buxton, saw some Trout near a weir on the river wye, and back over holme moss. He only wanted to do 50 miles but we clocked up 200+
