Ha ha you too mate.... I have just got in!!! no idea where the day went...
Rode it in Fog, rain, and muddy roads.. then in sunshine and dry roads, what a mad day. Breakfast did not touch the sides this morning ha ha... I looked at cake, but ate none.

After I warm up I will go into the man cave and put the tall screen back on the tiger.... in this weather I think I need it...

^^ this, but stopped for cake on the way home then got soaked.

Need to clean the bike now, but that's not happening any time soon.

Gave it a quick clean but as it was drying I could see I've missed bits.

Cleaned the chain but it looks like it needs replacing.

Noticed that the exhaust has a bit of a wobble on it. Can't see why.

Pissed off I've not got a garage so I can do a proper strip down. I think I'll give Mike a call so he can service it and make sure it's all in order. The bike has had a thrashing this year.

Tried to revive my chain it's gone well rusty
What lube are people using ,that dry stuff ?

Griff reckons the dry stuff should be banned. He only ever recommends a wet lube, unless you've got a spare 20 mins don't ask why though ;)

I've only eve used a wet lube, never know what manufacturer though as I'm not really that fussy.

I've heard mixed reports about the dry stuff. It's still wet.

Mike told me to use a dry lube with a wax on top. My chains last so that appears to work.

I've also been told that cleaning them is the key. Keep the crap out and they last longer.

Perkles, any of the S100 doc stuff. It's not cheap but excellent value in the long term. I use their chain cleaner.

After a bit of swearing and cussing, i managed to remove the rear ride height adjuster on the 748.

Cleaned it up and lubed all the bits that can be.

Leaving it over night to let some oil work down into the threads and then going to adjust it before i put it back on tomorrow.

After reading Blade's advice to raise the rear rather than lower the front, it would seem this is the right way forward as it also raises the C of G which should make it turn a little easier.

Did everything I needed to get the swingarm of the Kwacka to find the final bolt (main swing arm bolt) has a threaded head, so although I have the nut off it and the head lock nut removed I still need a 14mm hex to withdraw the bolt. My set only goes to 12mm. The hardware shops all shut at 3pm as its Sunday. Will have to grab one tomorrow and I'll be a 5 min job.

To get the swingarm off, I had to remove the exhaust. But to remove the exhaust I had to remove the tail. To remove the tail I had to remove the seat. To remove the seat I had to remove the side panels. I thought I was going to have the bike completely disassembled before I got to the swingarm!!

Feels like the bearings have completely collapsed. So I guess tomorrow I'll know if I'm in for a new swingarm.
