Re: What are you doing today ??
I don't have any photos of the wound, I didn't even want to see it till last night at the hospital. It wasn't pleasant.
I only heard about the degloving when the nurse read the doctor's notes to me last night.
Sat here now thinking about the next few months of hassle I have to live with and wishing I had not done it.

You are right, Kwacky and I know the first few days will be the worst.
Pain and not being able to use it at this moment are proving tough.

Thinking about it today, I suspect the little finger was guillotined by the brake lever.

I'm surprised for hire bikes and the conditions they subjected you too (riding around fences and gate ways) that they don't have bark busters fitted. I never had an off road bike without them for that reason.duke63 wrote:Thinking about it today, I suspect the little finger was guillotined by the brake lever.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Nothing as drastic as Duke, but got into BSB at Silverstone today to watch #8Spence in the Ducati tri options cup.
Not a great result fecked up the start and lost a load of places got back up to 16th in the end.
It was just nice to be among the racing again though. Gonna get to Brands to see him race again For last race meeting.

Re: What are you doing today ??
Lovely day today, nothing bike related though.
Out this morning walking round the village fields and lanes collecting blueberries with the family. After lunch went out on the push bike for a couple of hours and back home for a roast followed by apple and blackberry crumble, with apples from our garden.

So, you still have the finger then.? (I must have missed the outcome, last I recall you were unsure if they were going to amputate a good chunk more)duke63 wrote:Back to Stoke to have my finger looked at and re dressed - hopefully nothing more.
